I know that I should have watched Karsten all the way but I couldn't help but look in the stands and see the joy in the faces of those clapping and waving flags while cheering him on.
I (as many) have followed Warholm long time and so glad to see him breaking WR that he has been chasing for a long time and at this day he was ready to put his name in the history books. You can see the relieve after seeing him passing the line and I've only heard the language is too poor to describe such aspects of life. I can only think of my best expreices and for sure everybody else can do in different ways. Respect to Warholm and you that put this up like art. Thank you.
What an achievement from both the cameraman and Warholm. Beautiful. A big thank you to everyone cheering him on, not deciding to just stand there to film to show the imaginary friends that they've been to Bislett during this world record.
The spectacular athleticism from the athlete, the hopeful faces and expectations from the spectators combined with the loneliness the athlete finds himself in and the way he carries on to the end of the race makes this video really something special.
How is it possible that I know what happened, but that slow motion gave me anxiety, I was like "YOU GOT IT, DON'T STUMBLE, OH MY GOD HE IS GOING SO FAST", like I totally saw this before in normal speed
Both ran amazing over the past few weeks. Both had room to even go faster. The best thing about what's going on with these two is that is set the 400MH to be huge in a few weeks time. Whoever is stronger mentally should win. Personally, I've never seen a 400MH hurdler smack himself around just before the start like Karsten does - like Maurice Greene used to. It's going to be fun to watch them go at it.
This was the first time he broke Kevin Young's 29 yr old world record 46.78. Warholm ran 46.70 a little While after this he ran 45.95 in the olympics, another world record. Kevin Young's world record has Karsten beaten atleast 4 times this summer. Both Karsten and Jakob has become better this year and Will set world records again.

My coach always told me that if you want to get a record, you have to keep your toes straight. I noticed Warholm's right foot toeing out on the final straight-a-way. I guess coach wasn't always right!
Hurdlers do not count the touchdown (lead leg) as one of the steps. Left-leg lead, 13 steps all the way. Exactly what other greats (Edwin Moses) achieved. Congrats to Karsten....and THANKS for great video
