So I would argue, Dan, that Burrow missing games shows that a backup QB with no experience can jump in and succeed with this B or B+ team around them.

Another great podcast. As for QB rankings, I realize they make for great off season debates. For me, the top 5 are all very similar. Any differentiation is as much about coaching and play calling as individual performance. For instance, had it not been for the coaching and play calling debacle in 13 seconds, rankings are probably different, maybe Allen as 2, even #1. If Baltimore beat KC last year, Lamar may be #2 or 3.

The only reason they are considered top 5 quarterbacks is because of their athleticism… everyone remembers the highlight reel and it taints people’s opinions. That’s just a fact. Elite quarterbacking takes place between the ears, not with your arms/legs. I seriously doubt Knox would be traded. One, the contract makes it really difficult to trade him. Two, if they get rid of him, they create a rather significant hole in their TE room. It would go from being set in stone solid, to being a question mark. Three, Kincaid and Knox complement each other so well. Kincaid is more of a receiver, while Knox offers excellent blocking, in addition to being a solid receiver. It's a great tandem, especially when you have Morris as the No. 3. Morris is an excellent No. 3 TE. He makes big catches, plays special teams, and is a great team player and blocker. And finally, four, Knox is a team leader, and a foundation of the culture this team has built.
Burrow reminds me of Joe Montana. He is damn good. But with next to no play last year, it’s blasphemy to rank him above Allen right now. Everyone with a brain knows Allen should have been MVP last year. As for favorite chain restaurants, Ruby Tuesday and Boca De Pepo.

Then he threw a slant that went like 65 yards. On the other hand Allen can and does do things as a runner mahomes can't do. I think we've seen mahomes on the better team, with the better coach with the better offensive and defensive line with possible exception of last year bills oline maybe was better. I've not really seen mahomes individually do anything that says to me that he is better. If you're gonna say turnovers, turnover worthy play 2.9% vs 3%. Mahomes turns the ball over too.
