Crazy, was at this contest when I was 11. Won a free birdhouse deck at the booth and got it signed by Tony Hawk my idol at the time. Best day of my life then
That crook by Tim O' Connor was crazy. His foot came off, and he landed pretty high in the transition. Thought he was gonna get pitched. This was great. And I wondered if someone would skate the "ledges". Then Willy Santos does a back lip. So great.
Barley's feeble grind across the whole bar showed how the Toy Machine team was way ahead in that kind of skating. Alan Peterson could have ridden for them easily. Imagine if he had a part in Welcome to Hell.
This is the best pants era in skateboarding.
big pants big wheels. fucking loved the late 90s man
CCS had all the best gear
No cellphones, just people enjoying the present moment. Miss that era

Thanks for sharing!
The classic close to unskateable 90’s street course. Most pros today would have a hard time skating it.
yeah the start box rails back then were gnarly. you can tell this course was also for rollerbladers
@@SixWheelsDown Yes, mostly for rollerblades and bmx. Amazing that some skaters had flow on that course.
I was thinking the same thing. Those banks are absolutely huge and the ends are verts
Wow this was on my birthday; I was living with Markovich at the time, Jonas Wray (RIP) was there too. Good times.
Thank U
Yeah, thank you so much for this!
