God I wish I could have been there.
Eric is simply the best blues guitarist alive right now, but that bass tone is just orgasmic ❤
What an awesome show! thank you! Speaking as a 70+ yr old white man, guitarist, blues and rock fan, as grateful as I am to have been a young teen during the British blues invasion, I was listening to McKinley Morganfield (Muddy Waters) and Howlin' Wolf thanks to the Allman Brothers by 1968 or so. It does my heart good to see the young players like Eric Gales bring it back home from where it all began,,,and of course the living legend himself, Buddy Guy!

Such a great show. Love Buddy but Eric Gales is sooo good. Loved “Booty Bag” and his rendition of “Voodoo Child” reminded me of another left handed Stratocaster player.”

@dwightpatterson: your comment about Eric being the "victim": from a black male perspective, any black man (with or without money) can become a victim of police brutality or face financial hardships that kill dreams! THIS IS America! The country was not born in or by inclusion! No hate! Just FACTS! Now please let Eric express his blues & his narrative through his eyes without casting your labels on him. This statement comes from a 57-year old homeless musician/drummer/percussionist who is now homeless & disabled due to a hip fracture & I have ALL of my music gear in pawn shops in Atlanta at the moment! I am from Orange Mound in Memphis & I was present when Eric was growing into his musical mastery as a young musical phenom from the Gales Blues Family (Eric, Eugene, Daniel & Manuel) in South Memphis! I was his drum tech (Eric Gales Band: 1988) & played with his brother Eugene briefly! I AM proud of him & where he came from & where he's headed.

Eric. Sublime!
Trying to understand why he needs two drummers....unless the Mrs. gave him orders...if you know what I mean. Lol.😆
because it's sick, duh
the Mrs is the percussionist. Thats the difference.
Eric gales is a great musician, but the song storm the words made him a victim, an he’s far away from being a victim, you can’t make anyone love you as a person, so you just keep on being you, and that goes for anybody
The storm is very indicative of this artist. rather a simple and not deep at all, but rather predictably shallow. Just my opinion. I know many appreciate his approach. and like all things there are plenty of shallow folks to fit in with his approach. and let's be clear. There are a hell of a lot of actually bad composers out there and this guy is not one of them., he does not even come close to bad. he is just for my liking, well, shallow in his lexicon of scales and lacking in voicing choices and it carries over to his lyrical content as well shallow arrangement inabilities. His Bass player should be here when not touring so I can place and produce him through a few progressive rock fusion/ modern Jazz fusion records while he still can.
say it like it is, if you you put yourself out there you have to accept that you are going to be judged and compared to the great inavators and stylisitic players, true enough
I understand where you're coming from, though I disagree with the term "shallow". I think it's fair to describe the range as "narrow" maybe? But that's blues music. Comparing blues to progressive rock fusion/modern jazz fusion is comparing apples to oysters. I feel like the blues is driven more by emotion and feeling than by technical skill and range. One staple of the blues is repetition - along with the rhythm, it puts the listener in a trance-like state, similar to meditation. It can be very simple and narrow in scope, but that's how it's supposed to be. If you start going beyond that, it stops being blues.
Who the hell are you anyway? Your opinion simply means nothing here, ok?
@@ThePotatusMan Good point, limited rather than shallow, that is a better articulation, thanks.
@@adewilliams8 LOL means a lot to you clearly, and I thank you for your acknowledgment of that opinion. you are the best dude.
เล่นกลางแดดน่าจะร้อนอยู่นะ
The scouts is a bit rubbish. I reckon most of you would expect to see your children again.
Superficial manifesting as deep…Technical prowess not-withstanding.😔
Luv you Eric, but no Fake Fab Four "songs" for me.
