- Yeeeaaaah, I completely choked on the final boss and wasted a bomb that wouldve gotten me the world record. But at least this video is a good demonstration of a CC speedrun and the strategies you have to use to do it. So I'm uploading it anyways.
I've seen you on top of this weeks leaderboard and I'm stunned how good your runs are :D
Is his name in the game the same as on youtube?

One of the lil Tako ink blobs fell on him and hit him :P
How did you hit the last bomb on the first boss actually? I have not even seem him in the screen lol
It's an exploit where you abuse the boss's lingering hitbox to get damage. After Ghost Baron enters the wall, his hitbox is still present in the wall, and bombs that touch the edge of the screen can also hurt the boss as a result. That hitbox doesn't go away until Ghost Baron spawns again, so even though I got a really late hit there, it still worked.

Wish we saw the setup tho
The setup is Jack O' Slash with Peppermint of Souls, Sugar Bomb, and Golden Tako, all of which you can see during the run. It's the standard setup for CC runs.
@@jordanius99 I’ve always used jack o’ slash blade with magnet gusto and any assortment of offensive charms like sugar bomb or the one that you get from Paige (forgot it’s name)
@@lol-rl4wq That's fine for normal runs, but for speedruns, the set I used there was the most optimal
@@jordanius99hey what the most optimal setup for collecting souls and ectoplasm
@@lol-rl4wq There's a few options, but any 4 charm slot weapon with Soul Meter or Ecto Meter, XP Pro, Chain Link, and Magnet works the best in my experience.
You can also switch out XP Pro for either Ecto-Collector or Blasphemy (for a higher chance at getting Zeke). Zeke is the best companion for farming since he gives you free souls and ectoplasm when he attacks and can be used on Pyro Jack to infinitely AFK farm.
What charms are you using
Peppermint of Souls, Golden Tako, and Sugar Bomb, it's the best setup for CC mode

@mystic5175 Yeah you could, but without Tako or GTako it's a lot harder since you need to set up more bombs for bosses
If you want an easy strategy you can use the Toxic Curse strategy on Fire Spirit or Blaze Devil where you get Toxic Curse in the first treasure room and run into the boss continuously to skip the locked phase and do damage right away, killing him within seconds
It's a really good way to get Tako and GTako early and they're essential for speedrunning
