To answer some of your questions, Marina is an artist and the 'diamonds' refers to her fans. All three of these songs are from her second album which was a concept album where she tried to talk about love in ways it usually isn't. She also worked with American music producers for that album when usually she writes music that's a bit less mainstream pop because she was trying to show the corruption of American ideals through the album/character. I think that your comparison to Katy Perry shows that she did a great job in mirroring mainstream pop vibes.

Part 2 please!! And please listen to the lyrics, they’re super important in her music because they are not separated from the music but it compliments it. Her music, specially Electra heart album is about irony and sarcasm (that’s why they’re mostly cheesy pop song beats with serious lyrics)
I think you should listen to Teen Idle from Marina! That song is truly a dark one

Marina & The Diamonds is a band the same way that Florence & The Machine is a band. EDIT: Turns out it’s just a stage name or something along those lines.
The Katy Perry comparison is fine. The Electra Heart era is very U.S. pop inspired due to the characterisation of Electra Heart. The other albums The Family Jewels and Froot are distinctly different.
All three songs were from Electra Heart, so I can’t wait for you to hear songs from The Family Jewels & Froot.
Ikrrr, i mean Electra heart is a good album but Froot was amazing and so was TFJ❤ hoping for a part 2

A song I love by Marina is Oh No! It's super catchy with a really interesting perspective on fame and its effects on a person :) Valley of the Dolls is also super good!! The vocals are amazing and the concept is rad and UGH I love it so much!!! I hope you listen to more of her :D

Love that you're reacting to her! Electra Heart is a really interesting concept album, she's talked a lot in interviews about the concept of the whole era. Her other two albums are incredible too and she's coming out with new music this year.

Primadonna was a bop when i was little. Everyone was listening to it, it was all over the radio, on every playlist out there, even my parents and the rest of my family were listening to it. I really doubt you've never heard it before.
