I watch those TH-cam golf tutorials and destroy my swing every night before I go golfing. It's like starting as a new player every round for everything I watched the day before. Takes 14 holes to remember what works and by then my score is so bad I think, I'll have to remember this for next time. Then repeat the same cycle over and over like it's groundhog's day IRL.😅😅😅
Exactly. I honestly think TH-cam has destroyed my golf game. I now go out every round with a new problem that've never experienced before and have to fix. Likes like trying to repair an engine on an airplane while flying... except more difficult and more frustrating.
@@JohnFrancisPorterthe only video that actually shaved shots off my round was the Rick Sheils video of him with a professional coach that goes through an hour of how to chip properly. I went to range first for an hour and practiced at home for a couple of days then went to the course and applied the technique.
For the first time I broke 80 with a 79 yesterday 6-16-23. Now if I could get my drive to fly straight and putt from further than 4ft with any consistency, I think I can make par.

Every time, I say to myself I am conceding defeat if I bring bad balls and so I always bring expensive ones. It absolutely makes no difference. I also always bring more than three balls, which seemingly runs contrary to bringing the expensive ones. I've never thought about that until this video. I am a walking contradiction.

LOL on the part where you're checking multiple sources for the weather forecast. A couple of years ago, my family literally used Google weather forecast to find a golf course in an area that wouldn't get heavy rain for a few hours. We were able to drive there and finish our play in time before the heavy rain started!
I have walked on courses I would have never been able to play because I watch the doppler radar like a psychopath. Seeing exactly what time the course will get rain. Normal people just cancel their tee time. I am the storm chasers of golf, it's the game within the game.
playing in light rain is best because it usually means there are few people, I did that today actually and it was empty! So nice.

Oh man, it would sell out in a matter of minutes if they hosted a tournament. Bob Does Sports has hosted a couple and they were sold out in under 10 minutes. These guys could host it as a family event and it would do just as well.
