    Hey Rob, thanks for your review!) I want to buy this speaker as party either as movie speaker for my new samsung tv. In Ukraine the official brand new model costs like 400$. What do you think,sIs it a nice deal? I want to place it in the corner of my L-shape studio room 32 sq meters

    • @Robsreviewsanddemos
      @Robsreviewsanddemos  3 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Yes, if you can get it for 400 American you're doing great.
      If you don't mind I'd like to make a recommendation. If I were you, I would take a look at a home theater system first. Let me tell you why.
      I picked up a Sony 5.1 surround system for $250 several years back, and it sounds great. For movies and shows, you really don't want mono sound. If you've heard surround sound you know what a big difference it makes. I can hook up my mono ok75 to the tv if I wanted to and I actually tried it just to hear what it sounded like. The little surround system sounds so much better.
      I'm recommending this because you'll get way more return on your money with a home theater. Chances are you'll watch TV and listen to music at non party volumes way more often. A 1500 watt mono party speaker is good for a large area, where the listeners are further away. Basically the louder it is the louder everyone has to yell to talk and unless you're throwing a dance party you want to be able to chat at a party. So the truth is, you'll enjoy a nice Surround system way more than a 1500 watt party speaker. Don't get me wrong, it's fun to blast it sometimes, but if I had to pick one I'd go home theater all the way. That said, I just got this little Sony smart speaker for $99 bucks. It's pretty loud and sounds good for a hundred bucks. It has a battery, lights and google assistant. It's a great value I think. It's the XB501
      My review should be posted this week.
      If you're mind is set on the T70, that is a great price. Let me know what you decide or if you have any more questions.

      @@Nator_Hard Do you have a basement to run wires for rear channels, or carpeting to run the wires around the edge of the room? Or would you prefer a 3 channel system with a subwoofer? I'm thinking soundbar, two front speakers and a Sub if you prefer not to run wires.
      If you can run wires for rear channels that will sound better, but isn't totally necessary. Also try cranking up the audio on your new tv, they come with great speakers now a days. the qled I just bought has pretty great sound all by itself.

    man I've got this unit I've tested it with max volume + bass boost on it don't lose bass at all your video was 2 years ago and I got mine 1 month ago and I thought that Samsung have read the buyers concerning about their party speakers that it loses bass so they probably made some changes in the software or an upgrade in it after 1-2 years my house was even rattling with it.

    • @Robsreviewsanddemos
      @Robsreviewsanddemos  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      So you're saying the sound profile doesn't change at all at full volume? It sounds the same at 40% as it does at 100%? If so, that's good to hear, maybe I'll go check one out at best buy. Either way, once they lowered the price they gave the speaker a great bang for your buck ratio. Definitely worth the new price, even if the bass rolls off.

    hey so im looking for a good high quality/decent bass/clear speaker to jam out to while im working in my shop and im stuck deciding between the mx-t70, partybox 1000, and ok99. the big catch is i run grinders and other loud tools constantly. that being said it will be cranked for long periods of time so it must be able to handle being cranked up most if not the entire time im out there. thanks in advance!!

    • @Robsreviewsanddemos
      @Robsreviewsanddemos  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      the PB 1000 is a nice speaker but it's not as loud as the lg. Plus it's way overpriced. Keep in mind to the PB1000 has a down facing sub woofer, that's probably only 4 inches off the floor and if you're grinding steel in your shop the magnet in that woofer will have a shit ton of dust sticking to the woofer. It will ruin the response on the woofer if it's covered with heavy dust.
      The ok99 is insane.
      I'd definitely get one of them or even two. Walmart has a few left in the U.S. and you can probably get two for the price of a PB1000 and have a way louder setup. The bass port is on the front bottom of the ok99, you can't miss it. if I were you I'd buy it, use a cutting wheel to cut the lower screen off then cover the port with some filter material, that thing is crazy loud and what a great value. Hurry though, Walmart only had like 5 left.
      ora good Bluetooth PA speaker with a stand, like DJ's use, the reason I say that is because pretty much all of these speakers have a bass port in them and that same dust will get inside of it and screw the sound all up. If you can't keep them very clear of the grind dust than I'd look for a speaker that is easy to take apart to clean the dust off the magnets once and awhile. If you want big bass you will keep running into the same problem.

    I cannot compare to anything but my Harmon Kardon aura studio 2. I understand what he is saying. Bass is not that strong. It is very loud in my room, but it is not that loud outside of my room. It is much better than Aura studio 2, much louder and very clear high and middle range. You won’t get complaints from neighbor at 75% volume. If you have a house, you can use full volume in day time. I paid for $500 and I am satisfied. I choose this over LG mainly for design and discount price I get ($500).

So it'[s hard to deny it's a good value, I'd totally buy it if my budget was 400 bucks, it's the best speaker for that price range. The JBL's in this price range have batteries, so you get great bass but you lose volume because you're paying for a battery. If you got the JBL Partybox710 you'd be pretty set but it's 800 dollars. It's easily twice the speaker the t70 is. I don't know where you're from but see if the LG OL100 is available where you live. That is an awesome speaker and I'd take it over the Samsung or the jbl.
      Otherwise for a killer sound system I recommend a home stereo/theater with a Sub. You really can't beat them, but you gotta spend at least 1200 bucks on it, at least and to really get something awesome you gotta spend 2500.

My wife will try to kill me when it gets delivered hahaha but I'm tired if having a little bluetooth speaker when I was about 18 years younger then now I had like 4 or 5-15" a couple 10s for mid or centers and some tweeters that would for real open and close cabinet doors and vibrate your chair across the floor. Sadly it doesn't have a sub output. They need to put a better woofer in the next version of the speaker. The mids and tweets are great, nice clarity and very loud. The woofer falls way short, especially for the original retail price of 700 bucks. Now that they lowered the price, it's probably the best speaker in the 400 dollar range. I can't think of any other unit that is that loud and sounds that good for the price, plus it's stylish. Even with the bass issue I'll recommend it to anyone who doesn't need a battery.

      How are you paying 400 euros for a 700 dollar speaker? It should be around 600 euros. I have found it on sale for 600 in the U.S which is equal to 500 Euros. So how are you getting it at 400? Huh? Actually most party speakers have loud speakers instead of Subs. Loud speakers don't usually go as low as a sub woofers will, usually, not always. The Muteki i'm testing right now probably has the lowest bass I've heard on a party speaker. The advantage to loud speakers is, well they're loud, which is why you'll never see a dj with a Sub woofer. So no the Samsung Giga may call itself a party speaker, but I'd use it as the front channels on my home theater before I use it as a party speaker. If I'm spending 700 bucks on a party speaker I'm looking at LG, Sony, or JBL. The Giga's just didn't do it for me.

      @@Robsreviewsanddemos I don't know what to say.. If you say that on samsung the bass is rolling off at high volume it means that is the same like sony.. I was satisfied with the sony and it had a lot of features, plus the hdmi arc which I was using when watching soccer or nba and sometimes for movies. But I think the samsung will sound better because of the 2 directions of sound distribution. The sony was only frontal and the woffer was also 10inch.

      @@cristianpopa2221 Yes it fills the room better. The problem with the sony is I find my self constantly adjusting the EQ when I switch genres. The LG's handle all types of music the best and have zero bass roll off. The samsung will sound better too, it's firmware is just better than the sony's, not as good as the lg's but totally worth that price.

      @@madspedersen9088 It's a decent sounding speaker and it's loud, but for 700 bucks you can get a pretty nice surround system for your home theater. The Portability is such that it's not really feasible to use it as a portable speaker often, it's big heavy and awkward to carry.
      So if you're just using it at home for entertainment I can recommend something much better sounding, that takes up less room and costs the same. If you want raw power and to rock the house there are other options that I can also recommend to get more bang for your buck. Room size makes a big difference when choosing a speaker, how big is the room you will be using it? Also how important are features to you?
      I've actually reviewed the V71d speaker, which I believe is the American version of the 72. It's big and loud. The Samsung is much more expensive and it has better sound than the Sony. The Sony is louder with more house shaking bass and cooler lights. The Samsung is also a much better looking unit, but I find it lacking in Bass for me. It all depends what you prefer, a very loud party speaker that rocks the room or a good sounding, more stylish speaker that doesn't shake the house as much. Let me know if you have any more questions. Here's the review of the V71,, th-cam.com/video/hJd80DRmJVI/w-d-xo.html&t=
