In general, there are several factors involved in the design of bearings with rollable moving parts, which are the required ranges for both the amount and direction of the load on the rotation axis, the speed of rotation, and the time period for continuous work to obtain the highest possible rate of work efficiency required without deforming the moving parts so that we can determine the optimal density For the lubricant used to lubricate the moving parts. So all bearings with rollable movement parts are classified on the following bases: direction of the load on the bearing relative to the shaft axis (radial, radial thrust & thrust bearing), the shape of rolling elements (ball, roller & needle bearings), number of rows of rolling elements (single, double, four &multi -row bearings), flexibility(self-aligning &rigid bearings), jewelers' bearings can work with ultra-high speeds because the friction in them is close to zero, they are used in the manufacture of mechanical watch gears, as well as gauges with ultra-high sensitivity and motors with stable speeds. As for both the fluid and magnetic bearings, the speed of rotation is not limited because the coefficient of friction in them is equal to zero, but they need external control to prevent the decrease in the efficiency of work in them under the various loads imposed on them, so their design is more complex and expensive.
