So all bearings with rollable movement parts are classified on the following bases: direction of the load on the bearing relative to the shaft axis (radial, radial thrust & thrust bearing), the shape of rolling elements (ball, roller & needle bearings), number of rows of rolling elements (single, double, four &multi -row bearings), flexibility(self-aligning &rigid bearings), jewelers' bearings can work with ultra-high speeds because the friction in them is close to zero, they are used in the manufacture of mechanical watch gears, as well as gauges with ultra-high sensitivity and motors with stable speeds. As for both the fluid and magnetic bearings, the speed of rotation is not limited because the coefficient of friction in them is equal to zero, but they need external control to prevent the decrease in the efficiency of work in them under the various loads imposed on them, so their design is more complex and expensive.
