Nice and short but informative video! I'm Hungarian, living in the UK, and planning to visit Sopron this March. I have only been to Sopron twice in my life and I don't remember a lot. But in preparation, I have been watching some video walks on TH-cam and that's how I have come across your video. I have found all the bits of information about the city wall very useful for my trip. In addition, I think your pronunciation of the words (the Hungarian ones) was impressive. 'Jó napot!' and 'Sziasztok!' were flawless. You also knew 'macska' (cat) and 'cica' (kitten). Bravo!
Thank you very much! I hope you enjoy your visit to Sopron, its one of my favourite cities in Hungary. I've tried to remember all the Hungarian I've learnt over a few visits to Hungary and I'm looking forward to visiting Hungary again later this year.
Excellent video! I went to Sopron for a wedding, and stayed for much of a week. I was intrigued by the way the wall was incorporated into the modern city. This video tour took a very thorough and enjoyable look. Another thing I found intriguing about Sopron was the abundance of courtyards with their arched entrances. Sometimes the entrances were open, and I made sure to glance inside. There were small houses, often trees, and sometimes shops. The majority of the courtyards were closed, and remained a mystery. Sopron is a great town, well worth a visit.
