This performance is skeletal to the BoA philosophy! I favor the deeper brass sounds that we hear in Texas Elites and DCI presently but this show is so musically ahead of its time that it ranks as one of the best BOA shows I’ve ever seen. Lassiter 2002 is another.
Part I. "Dew Drops" "Peer Gynt Suite", Mvt. 1, "Morning Mood" by Edvard Grieg Part II. "Leaf Blowers" "Holberg Suite", Mvt. 1, "Praeludium" by Edvard Grieg Part III."Garden Variety " "La Gallina" by Ottorino Respighi Part IV. "StarGazers " "Make Our Garden Grow" by Leonard Bernstein Part V. "Awesome Blossoms" "Folk Festivals" from "The Gadfly" by Dmitri Shostakovich
I never got to see this show... but just wow, im in complete disbelief that a band can have so much individual musicality, no stage mics or any mics intended to amplify the bands volume, just every single person pitching in non stop to make an absolutely tear jerking performance. Just wow
They've been phenomenal almost every year since 07! They'll definitely be recorded as one of the most talented (especially musically) groups of the early 2000's. As Flower Mound HS(same district) rises, we must acknowledge that there is an extremely strong program for the younger students in that area.
We competed against them ever since I was a freshman in HS but I could see their Drinkwater greatness rising since 2004. Then just flourished since then.

Very interesting bc Band Director, Amanda Drinkwater played baritone. Maybe it was her love of Chamber music.
Thanks for the Upload!!! I actually march in this show my senior year was part of the trumpet section, great times!
