No way, I started watching your videos because I wanted to do vocals in the style of Amon Amarth and Rotting Christ and it turns out you have a Rotting Christ cover and it happens to be of one of my favorite songs from them.
First I thought this was going to be some cringy stuff, but... Damn I've gotta admit this is somehow dope and it gets even better as you listen to it again and again

That's one of my top Rotting Christ songs... And this is a great cover! Awesome drumming! I only missed the grunt at the beginning when the drums kick in :) But it makes sense not to have it, in combination with the clean speaking voice (Which I really liked). You gave the lyrics a soft edge, mysterious in away. Then your iconic harsh sets in and you truly nailed the energy. 3:52 Loved the deeper change!

What do you mean by false cord over falsetto? :O Love that you added the text, so good from an educational perspective, I just don't understand that one haha. And omg I wish I could roll my r's but I'm so hit and miss with that XD
The rolled r's are like lip rolls - it's about finding the right balance of breathflow, relaxation and tension. False cord over falsetto = false cord distortion about the vocal folds, while the vocal folds underneath are in falsetto - is that any better or still clear as mud? :P
I'll keep trying! I learned to do a similar sound from my guinea pigs ages ago, but trying to add that to actual words turns into a mess for me lol. Omg I don't think I've ever thought of false cords that way before. Also all the teachers I've had reckoned chicks don't have falsetto so I probably haven't learned what that's supposed to feel like. Hmm! Guess I'll have a play with it ^_^
@@DestroyerMariko There is no vocal register that males or females don't have :) Your teachers probably called your falsetto your "head voice". The reason I chose not to write "head voice" is because it is associated with classical singing (and that implies a lowered larynx, a certain amount of volume, a specific vowel modification etc, none of which are happening here).
Ah yeah I think they probably did! Tbh I also get confused what they meant between head voice and mixed voice. Seems like there's a lot of terminology out there that's not used very consistently haha. XD

XD This might open up a can of worms but "mixed voice" is only referring to the perceived sound, it has nothing to do with what is physically happening and anyone can call anything a mixed voice (so it's also very genre specific).
