Honestly, this makes me wonder in Pokemon canon how useful Pokemon could be for farmers. Like water types can help water crops, and you could have a Machamp stand guard in the field to scare off Murkrow trying to eat the crops.

I remember a quest in Pokemon Legends Arceus where the farmer asked you to bring specific pokemon for tilling/watering the fields that I thought was super cool! There's lots of little things like that in the anime as well that I always really enjoyed seeing c:

I mean it's more then confirmed that people eat pokemon in their world slowpoke tails are fine delicacy crabrawlers get their arms ripped off for the meat inside that the pokedex says is delicious and sadly most realistic sharpedo has been a victim of overfishing for it's fins

Legends Arceus has a similar questline where the farmers ask you to deliver pokemon which learn specific moves or have specific typing for farmwork.
