I recommend billy sticks - will keep your dog entertained for hours. Also no treats with rawhide! They can chip off and hurt/kill your dog. If he keeps chewing the bedding inside the cage take it out and instead allow him to lay on towels (also easier to wash & cheap). I really don’t recommend pee pads, it’ll be harder to transition to outside or he’ll pee on carpet etc. A dog usually won’t be good on “free reign” until last it’s first birthday. So crating when you leave is best. Grass patch is pretty good, maybe put it on the balcony idk? You are 100% going to need to brush him, i recommend a comb and slicker brush and look up “line brushing”. Goldendoodles have such a weird coarse coat and are prone to matting Sorry if this was long! I just learned all this over the years of raising and caring for diff puppies and dogs
@@Innerbeauty926 dogs don't generally like to pee or poop where they lay so there wouldn't be any use for a pee pad in the crate I do feel like you can train to use pee pads if you Train your dog to go potty on command though.
Kong’s are such a great toy for puppies especially when put in the freezer as it helps with teething and easy to have ready to go. I really recommend putting mashed banana, baby food, apple sauce, small veggies like peas or carrots and top off with peanut butter. There’s so many different easy recipes for them but the kong brand fillers aren’t very good for them. I just got my maltipoo puppy a month ago and she loves it so much and I crate trained her with them. Good luck on your new baby!☺️🐶 💕
Also! Really really recommend this for his grass patch and when he starts walking since you get grossed out like I do from cleaning up after a puppy. Hey! Love your video! I cannot wait to see more puppy videos! My neighbors just got a goldendoodle and I go over to their house almost everyday to play with him. His name is Loki. He is the sweetest most loving dog ever. He is also really smart. I have trained him 4 tricks so far: down, high five, paw, and sit. For food I would really recommend having him on a raw diet. Raw is so much more fresh and beneficial for dogs than kibble is. Kibble is highly processed. When you feed kibble it is like feeding your dog junk food every single day. Due to this I would really suggest raw food for a dog's diet. Like anything else, do your research and make sure you know the most you can about raw before switching your dog over to that. I know a lot about raw dog food, so if you have any questions about it please ask! Thanks and hope you found this helpful!
Thanks for the advice! Thinking of processed dog food in terms of junk food is a big eye opener, so I'm definitely going to talk to his vet about the raw food diet next time we go for a visit.
Hi I first off would like to say that I love how prepared you are !! Like the other commenter said rawhides are a no no . bully sticks are great and frozen peanut butter kongs are the best too !! Also Rachel ray isnt the best of the best and has been recalled many times because of DSM . there are many other great dog foods out there !! Blue buffalo isnt great either . they have had recalls and have had dogs get sick from eating their products so I just stay away from the brand entirely . you also will need flea and tick meds ! For my dogs instead of beds I am using baby and kids blankets from the thrift store or dollar tree . i even made like 4 blankets to fit my crate from fleece from a fabric store !

I have been watching @ petspluschelsea and she has good videos too . right now I have a litter of puppies and they like to chew everything right now so I use fleece i stead of beds because its not much money wasted if they do tear it up and its easily replaceable . I have picky dogs to so i like to use sodium free chicken and beef broth and some plain white rice to get them going . occasionally I do give some raw foods like ground beef or a chicken leg or breast but I would talk to a vet before doing so .

Try to look into brands like Orijen or Carna-4 where they use ingredients that are free from all these chemicals that bring little to no nutritional value. Raw diets are the best option for dogs, but if you feel you cannot keep up with it, try adding things like spinach, fish oil, vegetables and fruits to your dog’s kibble so that they can have a healthier diet:)

Stainless steel bowls are the best for puppies/any dog plastic grows bacteria and leads to other problems
