Honestly, for me, babies are 10xs easier than preschoolers to take care of lol. When they cry you just check what they could possibly need like a diaper change, food or bottle, nap, or to play. Also, bathtime before bed is a good way to establish their bedtime routine and works for toddlers too.
I'm a young nanny (I’m 15) and your tips are so helpful :) I’ve only worked with older kids so far but I’ll get a new job next week. I’ll be babysitting a 1 year old:) I’m so nervous so your video helped me a lot!
Currently looking to become a nanny, love kids but I have sensory issues specifically around noise that makes caring for kids difficult for me. Also have anxiety about being around people in general, not just kids. It's interesting because when I mentioned it to my mom she was surprised 😅 apparently everyone around me considers me very good with kids Hopefully I'll be able to learn quick and feel more prepared as I research more
@@parentcoachaimedespaigne6478 yeah I've recently figured out that I won't be able to work with kids yet I'm gonna let myself have time to figure out the rest of my life, but maybe someday I can do nannying
It’s an awesome job! You can start babysitting family members during big family gatherings until you’re old enough to start working for practice. That’s how I got started ☺️
If you’re looking to be the best of the best Nanny, make a very good income (childcare does NOT pay well) I recommend looking into Norland College in the UK. Being a Nanny is a great career. It doesn’t pay very well tho, you need a super immune system because young children, especially when they start preschool are walking Petri dishes, and there are a lot of crappie families, who will take advantage of you. A Norland Nanny has a 4yr degree and work for the royals and many celebrities
I've always babysat older kids. I just agreed to be a nanny for a 1 year old. This video is helping my anxiety and nervousness. Thank you.
That's going to be awesome! I'm so happy this helped! :)

This is babysitting and you’re a babysitter. There is a difference between the two :)
@@hannahscott6604 What do you mean?
I think she meant to differentiate nannying and babysitting. But this material can all still be applied to you too ☺️💛
I’m so excited this helped you! How often do you work with your little one?
Just got my first Nannie job this morning!!! So excited and slightly nervous to be caring for a 14 month old.

When you nanny you are around others a lot but you don't need to communicate with anyone but your employees so ❤

Parents should have trained and ruled their children before taking them to other person like a nanny
