it's so funny how science compelled you to attempt to explode the sun

That is one of the more unique "Autopilot killed me" moments lol. From the Heathians perspective you took off and then immediately smashed into the planet at 1,000m/s with the priceless translator tool. Usually people just fly into the sun

Let's not forget episode #1, where he managed to point the Nomai device towards the Sun perfectly on time with the supernova, and even thought it was his fault... That playthrough is starting great, it's quite unique as far as I know!

And now you know why Slate apologized about the Autopilot XD
Holy crap, you found Feldspar immediately and on a first try too!

The spaceship on the moon is an Easter egg, it's actually the ship from the alpha version of outer wilds, all the way back from like 2013!

You are quite smart and very rigorous about your own progression, it's a pleasure to follow your adventure!

Oh wow, that faceplant into Timber Hearth was quite impressive! 😆
You've likely worked it out already, but you'd locked onto the Attlerock when you engaged the autopilot, which set the ship's computer to bring you into a really close orbit with the small moon.
The fact that this small moon was directly behind a _not small planet_ was of little consequence to the determined little autopilot computer!

Wow! I love that this game can be approached in completely different ways by different players, but meeting _them_ in video 2? And using only a jetpack?! Outstanding! 👏

using the jetpack is actually safer as long as you are quick enough due to the lower noise it makes

Guess what, I am rewatching this playthrough right after I finished EotE playlist. So, this time I'll see all your death counters! 😊

Not sure the drowning should count, it was part of another expedition. It might lead to a mismatch at some point.

I'm so happy someone else came to the same wrong conclusion I did about the Lunar Observatory, except that I immediately tried to recreate it the second time round.

While you are not the first person I've seen beeline towards Dark Bramble right after exploring Attlerock and the crater on Timber Hearth, you are the first one to (a) dive in without the ship, and (b) find Feldspar on your first try without disturbing local wildlife. Congrats! :)

Woah, you're catching on way quicker than I did! Really shows how important it is to take plenty of time to digest what's going on.

Real autopilots are dumb devices that does what you tell it to do; fly straight and level, fly a heading for small aircraft, for bigger aircraft add climb at a rate, climb to altitude, or track a course based on a radio signal or even a glide slope for more advanced models. That is *ALL* the autopilot itself can normally do. Collision avoidance systems and ground proximity warning systems exist, but those are additional systems that can be hooked into autopilot commands, but now we're into airliner territory.

Really like hearing all of your theories, especially the ones on planets you see from afar. Some of them are spot on from the get-go, and it's fun to be privy to how your thoughts change as you explore. Also very entertained by your first few deaths, they're quite something.

[SPOILER] I love that his theory about the Nomai building a doomsday device was wrong... but kinda on track.
