yes mostly family, I made sure to find my 2 brothers and myself wives early in the game and gave them 30%+ chance of having kids perk, when I started getting kids and nephews I married the males as soon as possible again, it's now year 1145 and there's 68 of us (10 companions) I'm pretty sure we could be at over 100 by this point but there's a cap for it

Looks like my companions only run lol. Had glaives on everyone and tried to max out their bow, and athletics to get as many HP and damage as possible
