I'll try to get a video soon of it in action. However, I did take it to rehearsal tonight and it was plenty loud enough for the job. My normal rig is an EVH 5150 III 6l6 50 watt head running a Marshall 4X12 and I love it, but I'm old and my back doesn't like moving it. I'm not convinced this will replace it, but it sure would downsize my rig and hep my back :)
@@TheOldManMetalChannel Totally understood! (I'm old too) What is your "virtual amp" source going into the new FR-12? I'm currently rocking through an old ToneX pedal and mostly using headphones due to playing at home w/ family around. I bought a FT-12 to go nicely with the ToneX running good metal amp captures with cab-sims, but I rarely get a chance to "crank it" - sigh
@@steveareton697 Currently, I'm just using the built in amps in the Boss GX-100. There are some pretty good ones. With the EVH head, I set it up through GX-100 using 4 cable method, so I'm using the EVH's preamp section for the amp. It sounds really good to me. So, I'm thinking the next step might be to get a Tonex to use with the GX-100. We'll see. I hope to have videos soon of both rigs in action.
Epic! Love this!
I have this amp. It’s awesome! 🤘🏽
I was looking forward to hearing some good loud chugs through the FR 12 :(

does it work well at low volume? For homeuse, studying etc... :)
Yes, it seems to work just fine at low volume.
