Bible allows to marry as many wives as you wish, If u hv doubt open ur bible n its written in bible the book of bible first kings chapter 11 verse 3 n also in bible genesis chapter 16 verse 3 that saint Soloman had 1000 wives. Its also mentioned in bible genesis chapter 25 verse 1 n also in bible genesis chapter 11 verse 29 n also in genesis chapter 16 verse 3 and also in bible chronicles chapter 1 verse 32 that Abraham had 3 wives.
Bible also says in genesis chapter 4 verse 19 that Lamech married two women.
Bible also says in james chapter 1 verse 13 and also in 2 part of samuel chapter 3 verse 2 to 5 and also in 2 part of samuel chapter 5 verse 13 that David had multiple wives.
Bible says in psalm chapter 127 verse 4 to 5 and also in bible judges chapter 6 verse 12 and also bible judges chapter 8 verse 30 that Gideon had 3 wives.
Bible says in genesis chapter 29 verse 23 to 30 and in genesis chapter 30 verse 4 to 9 and in genesis chapter 32 verse 22 that Jacob had 4 wives.
Bible also says in exodus chapter 2 verse 21 and also in bible numbers chapter 12 verse 1 and also in bible judges chapter 4 versw 11 that Moses had 3 wives.
Christian Bible allows as a many wives as you wish but only a couple of centuries ago the Church put a ban on it not bible.
Same Jewish Scriptures allows as many wives as you wish but it was the chief Rabainite of Israel in 1950 put a ban on it bt Jewish Scriptures never put ban.
Same in Hinduism, Hindu Scriptures also allows u can marry as many wives as u wish n it was Indian hindu politicians who made an act in 1954 called hindu marriage act wch banned Hindus for marrying more then 1 wife bt hindu scriptures allows to marry as many wives as you wish.
Quran is the only religious scripture on the face of the earth and Islam is the only religion on the face of the earth that says…Marry only one. Its mentioned in the book of Quran chapter 4 verse 3 that marry only one of your chose but if u do justice then marry twos, threes or fours. If u don't do justice then marry only one.

Both women and men got restrictions on dress. and both got restriction on how to look at opposite gender. And the video is only 5 minutes length. there are lot of videos regarding it. every women becomes a mother, we glorify the suffering of a mother, is that a kind of inequality? I don't know whether you read comments or not.No hatred. I love both of you. Dr. Zakir Naik, in the short video just trying to clearify the concept of equality. You never can deny, the lackings of both Men and Women. In the whole video he was just saying, Men have some lackings in some sectors and women have some in other sectors. Overall both are equal. He was saying, like I asked you two questions, one gives a right answer of those. and other gets the answer right of another. but Both get 1 out of two. That is how they are equal. I saw several video of yours. I think you have some misinterpretation of marriage procedures in Islam. I think you should watch more videos regarding this. But you should keep this mind that A lots of Muslims are around us and they don't follow properly. You should see what is the guide. Both women and men gets a chance in Islam to choose their spouse. It is also said, how they choose their spouse, how to behave with your spouse and other things that you are confused. I watched a lots of couples practising Islams truly and they are happy with one another. No one desrespects one another. If one earns money is that makes him more superior? If a woman doesn't earn but raises her child is that makes her inferior?? No. Islam says, if one gets to earn and other does household work( that doesn't mean I am saying women cant do other job) is should be respected equally. There are lots of Hadith regarding this.In this world all people cant do the same work, Women may raise their child,teach students etc and on the other hand man can do other jobs. But both should be respected. A woman raising her child staying at home should be respected equally as earning man. Oh I forgot one thing, both men and women gets the right of rejecting in term of choosing their spouse. I think you would be kind enough to learn more. The burden of those 9 months and labour pain are enough to make the mother more worthy of compassion than the father. While the life long struggle of a father in every weather for his child as well as his wife makes him easily the governor of the house who always has the last say in any dispute in the house. Everyone has their advantage but stands equal in the end. This is modesty, the core of Islam.

I grew up In the same environnent as you Bina and I see your point but I am sorry to disagree with you. That’s not what Islam teach men to do In dealing with women. Not every Muslim follow their religion true teaching.
To your question Jay « why men and women are separated during prayers » it is to keep our focus and mind on only one thing and that is worshipping God and stay focus. You know that men and woman have attractive features. So imagine praying and drop down to your Ines with your forehead on the floor. Then you want to get up and you see a woman In front of you with her ass (sorry for the Word) pointing out In front of your eyes. Will you still stay focus on your prayer ? And it is the same for women. If we are at the back it is because we don’t look as much as men for features on the other gender.
I think you need to learn more, I won’t tell you to stop because of some of the misplaced comment that Bina sometimes says but instead I invite you to do more research. More research and adopt our motto « when I don’t know I don’t comment, I ask the more learned to know better »
Respect your mother doesn’t mean you don’t respect your father and that what Dr Zakir Naik said. He never said to respect the Mum more than the father. It is to say respect your mother, don’t forget her and her pain for giving you birth, love her always and give her what she is worth because we sometimes forget to love and respect our mother as much as our father. That why the prophet answer 3 times your mother then your mother.
I appreciate your interest in our religion. Try to leave all the things you ear in the society and focus on the true teaching of the religion. We are only human so human don’t always follow what is prescribed.
I wish you convert to Islam . Islam is the best religion in the world. Islam is the truth. I wish Allah guide you to the right way.

I'm saying all this because I'm living also living in a Muslim country where most of the things we are doing, we have adopted from Indian cultural..where women are not even welcomed to eat together..they keep on serving and eats at the last.. however here men feel happy if we all sit together and eat..it's just one example.. most of the things are adopted by them.. disadvantages of living together for years before independence.

Good questions raised by both of u.
It is a common understanding the if women are told not to do such things like not to look at men etc then men are also told to do same i.e not to look at women with lust or any other behaviour unless it is necessary. If any person doesn't follow it, he is not following islam. It means that person is wrong not Islam bcz Islam already told what and what not to do.
As far as praying together I have not been personally to church or any non muslim worship place but I have seen in alot of movies and dramas that while in church or temple instead of praying boy is watching his girl or girl is watching boy. That is of course in movies depicted as love and beautiful. But sole purpose of these places and to worship GOD and learn and teach about GOD. Now in real life if a hot girl is standing infront of you or near to you will you be able to pay attention to GOD and pray with pure heart and concentration? And same for girls that a hot stud type of boy is there, will your concentration not be diverted. So that's y separate praying is necessary that while praying you divert you full attention towards GOD. I hope you understand.

Muslims also forget what the Quran has said and don't do right by the holy book and this is what Dr Zakir is saying.
