Honestly, until Paige detox dusty Chris out her life, she's going to put up with his BS. It doesn't matter who tells her, family and friends, the experts, the world. She has to come to that realization on her own. So for now, she's going put herself through the ringer. I also think that they both need therapy. I can see Paige going for it, Chris is in total denial and have narcissist tendencies and will never see his flaws. Even though, they're on display for the whole world to see and he has a front row seat to his trash bag behavior.
The thing that irritated me most was that Chris kept claiming that the reason he is mad is because pastor Dwight should have talked to him first before "talking to his wife". Ummmmm first of all, sir at what point did you EVER treat her as your wife??? 🤔 Pastor Dwight had already talked to Chris and tried to convince him not to end the marriage. But Chris didn't listen (as usual 😒) and made it clear that he wanted a divorce . He just doesn't like to be called out for his mess and he wanted pastor Dwight to be loyal to his foolery
I actually wanted them to show Paige the video because this is how he really felt about her and how he could talk about her like a dog when she is not around. That means that this is how he is talking about you to friends and family when she is not around. He is treating her like trash and she thinks he cares, he does not.

It was Chris talking about how they went to counseling and considered moving in together for me 🥴. I had totally forgotten until someone else said it. I’m releasing Paige now, I pray that God rescues her from her own poor decisions, but I’m tired. Why she would consider ANY of that, even sans knowing about his last conversation with Pastor Cal, is beyond my level of understanding. He treated her horrendously and purposely manipulated her every time he wanted something from her, only to reject her again and again. With or without a baby or that little bashing session behind her back, there’s absolutely no reason she should’ve even entertained moving forward with him.
I think ya'll totally missed the point of production showing Paige the footage of Chris talking about how ugly he thought she was. At Decision Day, Paige felt the marriage failed because of the BABY, so after Chris said there was a miscarriage, Paige felt there was now HOPE for their marriage. If they had showed her the Chris blasting her "face" footage on Decision Day, then Paige would not have bothered going to counseling with Chris after Decision Day. Yeah, Chris had told Paige before that he wasn't "attracted" to her, but he had never been so vicious ("Of all the women in Atlanta, that's what you brought to me?") I think it would have made a difference. Paige needed that slap in the face so she would stop wasting time on this clown. Production HAD to show Paige the footage. The reunion was taped in February. It's May. Paige could have wasted a lot more time with Chris. The madness needed to stop. Yeah, they could have showed it to her off camera, but they wanted to hold Chris's feet to fire and make him be right there when Paige was seeing his awful words. He needed to witness the damage he'd done. And I don't think Kevin Fraiser (the host) was being "messy". He was doing an excellent job asking the questions we wanted him to do. The only messy part I'd agree with you on is them bringing Pastor Dwight on as a surprise. lol

I love yall!! The one thing I can't agree on is that Briana and Vincent are the Woody and Amani of this season. I still don't see that. Amani and Woody had chemistry from jump! Their connection felt like they've known each other for years and WE were just now seeing it. Their connection can't be compared. I've never seen anyone like those two on MAFS. I don't feel like that same connection is there for Briana and Vincent. They just seemed like the "least" toxic of the 5 couples this season.
Agreed. Definitely didn’t have Amani and Woody’a chemistry just the best this season had to offer. I will say, Chris is everything people ThOUGhT Woody would be. Honestly I feared Woody wouldn’t be attracted to Amani at first. So glad Woody proved everyone wrong!!

Also, it seemed like the dates she gave didn’t match up with what Chris said, she appeared to be off by a week. And it bothered me that she was even talking about it on National tv without being out I’d her first trimester. The whole situation was a bit fishy to me - especially given that he got (or contributed to getting) a car when she hadn’t even driven in years. I’m with Angel, she was a part of Chris’ foolishness, we just don’t know to what degree.

Whether Mercedes was pregnant or not was not the real issue in this relationship, and I can't get behind putting out those kind of theories in the atmosphere. We had plenty of information to know that Chris was not committed to Paige, or this process, and that Paige was so committed to the idea of marriage that she was willing to look past 1000 flags to justify staying in it.
Also: I know well how many Black women (myself included) are inclined to tailor our responses to nonsense to avoid being labeled an ABW. However, there is a lot of room between flipping a table and diminishing yourself to be rolled over. I hated that Paige's behavior in staying in her relationship in the face of escalating humiliation was being downplayed to just a matter of Chris' badness, and it irked my soul every time one of the other wives said things like "Paige is the strongest woman I know." Where? How? What kind of people are you surrounding yourself? Anger would have been a completely appropriate reaction to the shenanigans that Chris AND the show put in ther way, and choosing to swallow that anger served everyone BUT Paige. It gave Chris much more runway to find different, more obvious ways to be cruel knowing that "literal sweet nothings," as Melissa so eloquently pointed out, would be all it took if he decided he wanted Paige back on his roster. And it gave the show permission and ammunition to up the ante, as they did at that reunion with both the pastor and the clip. I see variations of this play out in the working world, and all this trope does is limit the accepted/expected response from Black women who've been mistreated to either complying or "overreacting," and I'm done with that narrative. Speak up. Maintain your boundaries. Let somebody else be "deal with it" and be mad for once. It's good for your health. 👊🏾👊🏿👊🏽

Whether Mercedes was pregnant or not was not the real issue in this relationship, and I can't get behind putting out those kind of theories in the atmosphere. We had plenty of information to know that Chris was not committed to Paige, or this process, and that Paige was so committed to the idea of marriage that she was willing to look past 1000 flags to justify staying in it.
Also: I know well how many Black women (myself included) are inclined to tailor our responses to nonsense to avoid being labeled an ABW. However, there is a lot of room between flipping a table and diminishing yourself to be rolled over. I hated that Paige's behavior in staying in her relationship in the face of escalating humiliation was being downplayed to just a matter of Chris' badness, and it irked my soul every time one of the other wives said things like "Paige is the strongest woman I know." Where? How? What kind of people are you surrounding yourself?
Anger would have been a completely appropriate reaction to the shenanigans that Chris AND the show put in ther way, and choosing to swallow that anger served everyone BUT Paige. It gave Chris much more runway to find different, more obvious ways to be cruel knowing that "literal sweet nothings," as Melissa so eloquently pointed out, would be all it took if he decided he wanted Paige back on his roster. And it gave the show permission and ammunition to up the ante, as they did at that reunion with both the pastor and the clip.
I see variations of this play out in the working world, and all this trope does is limit the accepted/expected response from Black women who've been mistreated to either complying or "overreacting," and I'm done with that narrative.
Speak up. Maintain your boundaries. Let somebody else be "deal with it" and be mad for once. It's good for your health. 👊🏾👊🏿👊🏽

Pastor Dwight wants his 15 minutes of fame but he didn’t say anything wrong lol; everything he said was right in his assessment of Chris. Plus why would we think he had great character if he was friends with Chris. I definitely understand Chris being upset but he plays right into production’s shenanigans. It’s reality tv show and he continues to play into it. He acts like this in real life though because his ig is always him going off.
He was upset because he told production that he wouldn’t show up if they bought Pastor Dwight. So he was pissed, but I mean why does anyone owe him any respect. He disrespected and embarrassed Paige time and time again, we reap what we sow.

That’s crazy if it’s true. Yes, in a real marriage, both parties have duties. But this is a reality show, you didn’t vet this man or let God lead him to you, you let a production team cast you both for ratings. You owe him nothing until he proves he’s who he says he is. She didn’t know this man from a can of paint, to let him gaslight her like that is sad and a little scary. She really needs professional help.
