I think about this with every video of theirs I watch. I can't understand why they didn't build up higher or put drainage or walls up behind the buildings. You can see where the water has already washed down the valley.

As far as I understand they were only allowed to build one building on this piece of land ? This is a second building which is not permitted … I guess they are going down the same rabbit hole again!
We've heard various rumors about the permission. I don't watch every single video so I guess maybe I have missed when it was officially declared that they have permission but I thought it was only for one small building. I wish that the person who responds to the viewers comments would tell us exactly what the current status really is since every video there are people worried about that topic.
It has been my understanding from long ago that permanent homes were not allowed on agricultural land. This is clearly agricultural land. Building for livestock is allowed, but not permanent residences. I assumed they received permission for 50 sq meters of buildings for livestock. Perhaps I'm wrong, and I would appreciate @daarall explaining this for us.
A heavy spring rain will wash out the foundation rocks that you just laid. You should dig out the wash deeper or move the kitchen up further on the hillside.
I was just going to say the same thing. It's like a path where the water has previously run. They should get the dozer out to trench it deeper and away from the kitchen if possible.

There is a reason that ditch is there. Mother Nature chose that path. No one corrects Mother Nature easily. It is my opinion that they can dig all the ditches they want to, the one that is already there is the one the water will choose.

Just maybe when he and them have time they will widen the water ditch, make other ones behind their buildings that will drain into that bigger one and put a block wall between their buildings in back and the new channel drainage ditch. Having quality tools will make your building much more efficient and lighten the load. If you look at the geography of the land, Milad is planning to buid that kitchen right smack in the middle where the water flows. Not unless they’re able to divert the flow of the water by digging a trench. Or better yet convert that other tent into a kitchen, better location.

Please, you don't want to build any building on the edge of a long ditch. There usually is a good reason why there is a good size ditch. When the spring rains come or any other heavy rains, they will travel down from the mountains. The ditch will hopefully hold the flooding waters. If there is too much rain, it could overflow over the ditch, eroding the soil, making the ditch even wider and deeper, taking any building with it. Please find a location away from the ditch for any new buildings.
Maybe they can get Mr road builder to come and widen it on the other side,a good bit from the kitchen. Then they can line the kitchen side of the ditch with rocks to keep it from eroding.

I am so proud of the resilience of this family. They have built amazing compounds of buildings, only to have them torn down. And here they are again, building a number of buildings and shelters. I like the new house the best. Everyone takes turns in my mind being recognized for their special traits. Today it was Ajav. I thought of how she needed a donkey, so she went to get one and led it home. She takes care of the chickens each morning - as Amir watches over the goats. Whenever something needs to be done, there she is chipping in with incredible strength and fortitude. I love how she is with Shadmehr. Ajav seems to have boundless energy. I think that over time she's become more open and more sure of her voice. I didn't see the captions where she warned about potential flood, but I thought about the dried bed from a past flood and thought two things: 1) If it has flooded there in the past it will likely flood there again, and 2) I remembered the flood waters that poured down the mountain and through their compound and how lucky that the damage was manageable. Wonderful Ajav.
Regarding the steep gully running by their home,I would employ the backhoe operator they used to cut the land where Milad & Mahins last home was destroyed.He was by far the best operater I've seen amongst these Iranians. He would easily widen/ deepen & build this soil on the home side of the gully.He could divert the gully further away from them.hopefully enough to avoid flooding problems.
Milad is SO jealous of Hassan ! Whatever Hassan suggest Milad does opposite. And WHY are they not putting stones in the bricks like they did at the other place. They have not placed one stone in the brick for extra strength. I say they know they aren’t staying here long

I know this may sound dumb... but, that poor donkey showed that he would like to be closer to his humans as he had tried twice to follow grandma after she watered him, until his rope stopped him. Made me feel sad.😞
He did want company ,bless his heart. Made me sad too. Maybe they can build a big long shelter for the goats and him so he can be social and have company! I don't believe that they can create any water channels without big machinery that will control Mother Nature. That water is going to go down the path of least resistance. The same path that made those deep ditches.
May be I sound boring and crazy but can't help myself when i suggest the father of the boy to buy him colourful books,copies, crayons so that he is engaged in a proper way.He enjoyed drawing and writing along with Mahin's niece the other day we all saw.

Pense que harian la cocina al lado de la casa ya que alli esta de una vez el piso listo...veo que cuando baje agua de esas montañas y corra por el canal les traera problemas en la cocina en cambio al lado de la habitacion estaban mas altos......hoy quiero hacer una observacion y a la vez felicitarlos ya que hace dias les aconseje que agarraran las sillas que tenian botadas y que las colocaran con la mesa y que alli comieran aunque se que sus costumbres es sentarse en el piso pero a veces hay que salir de esas costumbres y modernizarse..los felicito porque se ve que les leen los comentarios y toman en cuenta nuestros consejos...se ven todos bellos sentados en esa mesa comiendo y charlando ...los abrazo desde mi pais venezuela y les deseo mucha felicidad y union familiar ...son admirables como familia...tambien felicito a hassam ya que se le ve otro semblante ya esta mas sonriente y eso nos hacia falta ...sigan adelante con sus proyectos que les esta quedando hermoso..

We've heard various rumors about the permission. I don't watch every single video so I guess maybe I have missed when it was officially declared that they have permission but I thought it was only for one small building. I wish that the person who responds to the viewers comments would tell us exactly what the current status really is since every video there are people worried about that topic.
It has been my understanding from long ago that permanent homes were not allowed on agricultural land. This is clearly agricultural land. Building for livestock is allowed, but not permanent residences. I assumed they received permission for 50 sq meters of buildings for livestock. Perhaps I'm wrong, and I would appreciate @daarall explaining this for us.

Just maybe when he and them have time they will widen the water ditch, make other ones behind their buildings that will drain into that bigger one and put a block wall between their buildings in back and the new channel drainage ditch. ( hope fully) Protection! Just LOOK at all they have accomplished in a VERY SHORT TIME! I was looking around while they were building and admiring how very Neat they have made it also. I believe as they can they will do the rest of the NEEDED things.

Having quality tools will make your building much more efficient and lighten the load.

If you look at the geography of the land, Milad is planning to buid that kitchen right smack in the middle where the water flows. Not unless they’re able to divert the flow of the water by digging a trench. Or better yet convert that other tent into a kitchen, better location.

Please, you don't want to build any building on the edge of a long ditch. There usually is a good reason why there is a good size ditch. When the spring rains come or any other heavy rains, they will travel down from the mountains. The ditch will hopefully hold the flooding waters. If there is too much rain, it could overflow over the ditch, eroding the soil, making the ditch even wider and deeper, taking any building with it. Please find a location away from the ditch for any new buildings.
Maybe they can get Mr road builder to come and widen it on the other side,a good bit from the kitchen. Then they can line the kitchen side of the ditch with rocks to keep it from eroding.

Mahin today you get the blue ribbon 1st Place. You made a winner winner chicken dinner and helped with the build alot! You carried a bunch of those blocks.
I am so proud of the resilience of this family. They have built amazing compounds of buildings, only to have them torn down. And here they are again, building a number of buildings and shelters. I like the new house the best. Everyone takes turns in my mind being recognized for their special traits. Today it was Ajav. I thought of how she needed a donkey, so she went to get one and led it home. She takes care of the chickens each morning - as Amir watches over the goats. Whenever something needs to be done, there she is chipping in with incredible strength and fortitude. I love how she is with Shadmehr. Ajav seems to have boundless energy. I think that over time she's become more open and more sure of her voice. I didn't see the captions where she warned about potential flood, but I thought about the dried bed from a past flood and thought two things: 1) If it has flooded there in the past it will likely flood there again, and 2) I remembered the flood waters that poured down the mountain and through their compound and how lucky that the damage was manageable. Wonderful Ajav.
I just noticed (reran the episode on my laptop to write comments) that Ghadir is digging a deeper ditch alongside the new kitchen.
Also concerned about the road up to the homestead. First real rain it will be a giant mucky mess where you can’t get in or out!

Regarding the steep gully running by their home,I would employ the backhoe operator they used to cut the land where Milad & Mahins last home was destroyed.He was by far the best operater I've seen amongst these Iranians. He would easily widen/ deepen & build this soil on the home side of the gully.He could divert the gully further away from them.hopefully enough to avoid flooding problems.

I know this may sound dumb... but, that poor donkey showed that he would like to be closer to his humans as he had tried twice to follow grandma after she watered him, until his rope stopped him. Made me feel sad.😞
He did want company ,bless his heart. Made me sad too. Maybe they can build a big long shelter for the goats and him so he can be social and have company! Two thirds for the goats and a small divider halfway up on the last third for the donkey. That way he couldn't accidently step on any goats but could poke his head over for company!🐐🐐🐐🫏

May be I sound boring and crazy but can't help myself when i suggest the father of the boy to buy him colourful books,copies, crayons so that he is engaged in a proper way.He enjoyed drawing and writing along with Mahin's niece the other day we all saw.

I m Sure Hassan would enjoy reading to him. Plus see if you could find a very colorful set of wooden blocks. My children loved those. Different shapes and sizes and all colors. Very fun for Shadmehr because he loves to Help with the building.
