@@leefrohock mate honestly your a legend. I just watched the short you posted of the 37 starting up in Tonbridge yard.. one of my and sons favourite places to watch trains.
Forgot to add that i Signed 700s and did the original testing runs for the pantograph commissioning on the ECML. Had to take them through Canal Tunnels from Thameslink core on 3rd rail from Clapham Junction sidings. they were in SWT colours and i got stuck in the canal tunnel on the first run because i had ballast on board which simulated a fully loaded train.
@leefrohock that sounds really fascinating! I wouldn't want to get stuck in canal tunnels though 😂. I currently sign from 3 bridges up to Peterborough and Cambridge. Also sign 387s and Siemens 717s via the Hertford loop. Not a bad way to get paid
Christ look at all the equipment they have to carry now !! Back in my day as a freight Guard it was just the AWS and that was it !! Although strictly l wasn't supposed to sit up the front with the Driver l often did - for a good old chin-wag and a cup of stewed tea !
Can’t help thinking…that lovely big window with the best view ahead is wasted. The driver’s view is restricted by a smaller window and the Dalek staring down at him.
The network needs more drivers like this. Everybody love a tone or two. 😊
I used to love playing tones for the spotters, the Darth Vader tune I invented which others now copy 😃

@@leefrohock Good on you, this is an amazing video. Always wondered what your guys view was like..
@@leefrohockyou are the definition of absulute hellfire driver the way u did the darth vader u then instantly thrashed it and did a few more
Cracking Driver. Reminded me of my Dad ,, always knew when he passed my school. Could hear the horn the far side of our estate too. 😂👍😎
Now, THIS is what I call a driver's eye view. The camera POV is just superb. More please!
Wish I could buddy, but I retired 3 years ago unfortunately. Glad you enjoyed the view 👍
Brilliant driver, those little toots mean the world to some people…. The world is too serious these days glad this driver is on the tracks.
Any minute now that door will open an Vader will come out and shout "OI IM SLEEPIN IN HERE" LOL excellent
Amazing…there’s only two people standing on that station and he still gave them the Darth Vader tune, top man…….
We need more drivers like this, not just on the 37.
backed off on purpose, then tones and then a thrash for the camera! hahaha top man!!
The fact he thrashed it at the end, wish more drivers were like this
Great video, love the camera position and works with the class 37 so well.
I do the same thing when I'm driving my Siemens class 700 on the ECML. People love it! 😂
Brilliant, makes the day go with a smile too 👍

An AWS bell for the green aspect is so much clearer than a different beep.
Fabulous video ,Always wanted to operate one of these Beasts of the British Rail Era ❤Love his use of the horn😂🤣
I’ve never seen a cleaner class 37 cab in service. It looks brand new!
Unbelievable, does he not realize the steering wheel is on the other side.
That's the handbrake
@@MonsterJamFan69its a joke

@AlfieDoug bruh I'm british and we drive on the right of the vehicle

Nice to see inside a class 37 cab!!
Cockpit of Millenium Falcon!!
Super clip, great angle and nice tones! Thumbs Up & Subscribe
All the best from Dublin

Nice to see that Hank from Breaking Bad found work after the show.
😂
I do love a 'horny driver' .There should be more drivers like this legend !!. They should make it compulsory during driver training.
What a legend 😊 I hope he’s driving a 37 I go to see one day…
He’s retired now but he certainly was a legend!!!
Reminds me of my two Class 37 cabrides. 1) Edinburgh to Fort William via Cumbernauld and 2) Staines to London Bridge !
Can’t help thinking…that lovely big window with the best view ahead is wasted. The driver’s view is restricted by a smaller window and the Dalek staring down at him.
You saved me writing with the same thought!
Quite….and no-one on the steering wheel either!
Hee-hee!
Yeah all those new gizmos required look so out of place in a 1960s cab.
EE loved putting putting the cabs as high as possible, until the Class 50.
Can we have more like him
That'd be the imperial march then!
Oh Yes :)
excellent video 👍i tried to see if i was there but i must have been at ramsgate

That’s in Kent between Minster and Thanet parkway 🤩

Those poor contactors.
I'm sure they had a sense of humour and some joy in their hearts,
no one in denmark will do this :(
Yeah its a shame as its so much fun playing tunes for the spotters and i loved their reactions too 😆

Either 37884 or 37800. Can’t remember for sure but think it’s 37884 :)
