The temperature in a normal danish hot water sytstem is not high enough to kill legionella bacteria, so you must allways assume that the hot water is undrinkable. The low tempperature is to save energy.
I have been a janitor for more than 15 years and a good janitor keeps the hot water between 50 and 55 which kills the legionella and most bacteria but some bacteria like that temperatures and thrive + off course in the pipes the temperature lowers. So legionella does not survive in a building with a good janitor but since the water is not boiled there will be other bacterial growth.
@@SimonRaahauge1973 Legionella DOES NOT PRODUCE spores. So, no need to heat water beyond 55C. However, what is more important is maintenance of water temperature above 55 C from the boiler to the tap. That is here most accidents happen.
Ok, the reason it is not recommended to drink the hot water is because the boilers used in a typical residential building are not certified for drinking purposes, since you (or the management of the building) cannot usually know what materials were used in their construction. Which is why they are not safe to drink from even after the water cools down, since that does nothing to get rid of any unwanted chemicals from the water.
Love the video! Also want to add to the tip about bottles that if you're walking around the city and you have an empty with pant on it that you want to throw out, just put it next to a bin and someone else can pick it up and get the money 💗
Hi Hazel, so lovely to see your comment! :) And yahhh, thank you for sharing this useful point to not throw the 'Pant' bottles in the dustbin and keep it next to it so that someone can pick it up :)
And Kritti. You only get money back for the bottle, not the entire drink 😀. Hazel. Some of the bins have an (attached) outside storage for empty bottles. Good tip though!
This reminds me of German would expect from you except the tap water. I like it. I'm currently learning German and Danish at the same time but thinking about moving to Denmark for a job opportunity .
heheh! My friend also once locked herself out but luckily I had her spare keys :D Yahh, Knowing about Car Parking is a MUST. Thank you for mentioning it :)
Regarding car parking in CHP. In the inner city there are reserved spots, only for E-cars. Often these will have chargers, and the spot will be free parking.
LOL! Yeah, it can get expensive to get a locksmith. But not all doors lock automatic. Mine needs to be locked, with a key, from outside (except to my stairwell), so I only need a locksmith it I loose my keys 🙄 (has never happened. Guard my keys as I would anything else of value 😊 ). 2: The Hot water thing could be about "Calcium" (Kalk). Copenhagen water has a lot of calcium. The further you get away from CPH, the less calcium in the water (depending on where it's pumped up from). 3: Being late shows disrespect to others. 4PM is 4PM. If you know your gonna be late, call (things can happen). God Weekend 👍
Of course Kritti, we both live in Valby, so we're basically neighbors 😀 ! You still need to post where and when you perform!? I'd love to bring some friends.
Kriti I am struggling to find the answer to one question. When I'm moving to Denmark from India, and when I close the EPF account here, is it taxable in Denmark? Because I will move in 2 weeks. Thanks.

Hi Lavish, thank you! I am not aware of any Danish langauge course in India, but once you are here you can start to learn Danish for free if you are eligible (when you get your CPR number) . As per my knowledge, knowing the langauge and danish medical license is must if you want to work as a doctor in Denmark. I found this - workindenmark.dk/media/tt2cr3ct/denmark-is-looking-for-medical-specialists-wcag.pdf
