    i so amazing you explain all the features of this Xenyx mixer 1202, i have question how do you add echo on microphone? thank you.

    • @TheMusicChanneljakerocks
      @TheMusicChanneljakerocks  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      glad you liked the video. you would need to get an external effects processor and run one plug from the FX send of the mixer to the input on the processor and another plug from the output of the processor to any of the inputs on the mixer then turn the red knob on your mic channel on and the main FX knob on over in the main section and have your effects processor on an echo effect and it should work as this mixer doesn't have built in effects.

    • @TheMusicChanneljakerocks
      @TheMusicChanneljakerocks  ปีที่แล้ว

      I think the best way to plug it in would be to plug it in directly too one of the channels on it, but if you don't have the right plug for it then the Rca input should work just as good too you would just have more control of the volume if you plugged it in to a quarter inch input channel.

      this model in order to record with it you would need to get rca cables run it through the control out into a recording mixer, tape deck etc... there is a mixer with the same design as this one but its called the behringer XenyxQ 1202USB that one you can record with through a pc

    how would one go about using the mixer for studio mixing. Say i have a multi track demo recorded, and I need to get that mixed using these effects (the ones in the DAW suck), how would I connect the atual mixer? Do I use the RCA plugs? perhaps plugging the output of my interface, go the input of the tape in using an RCA adapter? I tried this, but honestly I can't multitrack mix the input, instead I just get a feedback loop when I try to send the signal back into my interface. Honestly I feel like If I am using a DAW, I am basically stuck with the godawful digital stock effects that are available in the DAW. So basically, how would I hook up the desk so that I can go from Logic Pro to the channels for mixing and then back to Logic, without causing a shit ton of feedback? Thanks

    • @TheMusicChanneljakerocks
      @TheMusicChanneljakerocks  ปีที่แล้ว

      you could use rca to mini for going from the mixer to the PC, and use another one to go from the PC to the mixer that shouldn't make it feed back or you could do an rca to USB for going from the mixer to the PC and back. those should both work without it looping. let me know if you need any additional help or if this helped you.

    • @AnkothOfficial
      @AnkothOfficial ปีที่แล้ว

      @TheMusicChanneljakerocks will it work in stereo? Also, do I plug the second RCA (the one that goes from the computer to the mixer), go from the computer to one of the mixer's channels, or does it go to the tape in?

    • @AnkothOfficial
      @AnkothOfficial ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @TheMusicChanneljakerocks RCA to USB doesn't work at all in any way. I've seen people talk about it, and it's honestly only applicable to old-school computers. The only way to get audio onto a device nowadays is either by audio interface or built-in mic. My macbook Pro that I use for my music doesn't have any audio/mic ins, and if I put a USB into it (after converting to USBC since USB jacks don't exist either) it just acts like nothing happened, doesn't respond to it in any way. Modern devices suck and it really annoys me I paid £1000 for a mac without basic features (same for the shitty device I am writing on now - cost a shit ton but doesn't even have a mini jack slot for headphones). I initially ram my rca out of my interface and into a channel on the mixer, then used control room out to run into the inputs on the interface, and into Logic. The issue is that I need to have the track record on to a new track in the DAW which needs to be muted, otherwise it also goes out the interface and back and creates feedback. If I mute the track I'm (re) recording though, I cannot hear what I'm mixing so I end up mixing with my eyes instead of my ears to avoid feedback, which sucks.

      @@TheMusicChanneljakerocks Hi again, where on the mixing desk, do I plug in the RCA jack that goes from my Macbook to the mixer? I currently have my mixer going from the main out into the interface, then i have my Mac's headphone out going with the RCA, to the tape in on the desk. That did nothing and i couldn't mix the incoming signal, so I sent tape in to control out and plugged in the Control Out to two channels on the mixer. That sounds absolutely awful, and feeds back, but the EQ's now work with the signal. Idk if that's the way it should be done, I am willing to bet it isn't. Except there is pretty much nothing on the internet regarding an setting up analogue mixer with a current Macbook pro, for mixing and studio work, as opposed to recording a live setup.

    • @TheMusicChanneljakerocks

    Great video mate, I'm about to buy the same model and I'm curious about one thing.
    Let's say I'm using channel 1 with a microphone and I turn down the white level knob down to the lowest, will the FX knob still pass the audio throug FX send channel independently?

    • @TheMusicChanneljakerocks
      @TheMusicChanneljakerocks  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you're using the FX channel as an Aux channel for a monitor then yes it will. As for an external effects processor you may still need the white knob turned up because I tested it with my external processor and it didn't do anything when I had the white knob down.

      You can have 1 set of speakers in the main out, another pair in the control room out, a monitor in the FX send because the FX send can also be used as an output for like a stage monitor. And then your headphones in the headphone output.

      You can add an external effects processor to your mixer. There should be an FX send or an Aux output on the mixer then you would run the other end of the plug to the input of the processor. And then you would run another plug from the output of the processor into a return input or a channel input on the mixer.
