That's a bummer. I have 3 polish sacks and I have not had any problem with them. I have one bag that I use every day. I take my books and my carry in my bag everyday and it is handled a lot. It is opened and closed at least a few times every day. Now I do not cinch mine down overly tight.
That happens when the tailor who puts on the strap go over it more than necessary with the sewing machine. The needle weakens the material the strap is made of if it passes more than twice. I got two which are Army surplus but never issued.
I had a similar problem. Took mine away on a trip and found that the buckle set up couldn't handle tight cinching and self destructed (needed to cinch tightly to secure the load). Got rid of it and got a Helicon Tek haversack. Problem solved. I don't know how the Polish soldiers got on. Maybe they weren't issues with much bread!
Excellent video. I look forward to reading everyone's experience.
Thank you still trying to figure it out

I'm really sorry about your bread bag. I have one that I use for trail hiking, but now I'm kind of wondering.
Polish bread has great history ,this a problem i had with mine
I have had no problems with mine. I have carried books, food, canteens, and more. The cinches worked fine. I think you just purchased a defective bag.
Thanks ,this is why I did the video to get ideas
