Forts is a physics-based RTS where foes design and build custom bases, arm them to the teeth and blast their opponent's creations to rubble.
Build an armoured fort in real-time and arm it to the teeth. Collect resources, develop your tech-tree, unlock advanced weapons to target your opponent's weak points, and feel the satisfaction as their fort comes crashing down.

To be fair, he didn't actually use that free real estate this time. Instead the stars, planets, and all the blue moons in all the solar systems in the galaxy aligned and basically handed him the win several minutes early.
Placing a battery directly behind your core isn't such a bad idea, especially on maps where you can only be hit head on. If they can shoot the battery, you've got bigger problems to worry about. Specifically, them shooting your core.
I might be wrong but since the core has more health then a battery some weapons bullets may pass through the core dealing light damage to the core but destroying the battery leading to boom
@@ujvxyjbxdg I don't think any bullets can go through a core but. Can a AP sniper do?
Yes, but the true galaxy brain move is to take a map where they can only shoot you from the front and create a nice line of batteries from the top of your base down to the core. That way, they can shoot for your economy and destroy your whole life instead!

@@Knightpiecerules I mean, if an AP sniper hit the core it'd either have to have already pierced something, and therefore not have any more pierce, or you're pretty much fucked with an exposed core anyways sooooo....probably not an important question, even if it is interesting lol

Haha yeah I was the top base but totally didnt realize that you could connect to the ceiling like incursus did, when that drunk nuke hit me I laughed so hard I couldnt even be mad I lost.

That thumbnail gave me an idea.... What if you made a smaller map and made some cannons on ropes to swing them at enemy players?

Just fire them at the other team, and use the recoil to swing it at them XD
I've tried this as soon as I saw how long adamantium ropes from the well defended mod could be. It is really hard though because unatached blocks don't collide with the base so you'd have to measure it out perfectly so it would hit the foundation under/next-to it. I haven't been able to pull it off succesfully but I'm sure someone who is better at the game could. Doubt it would ever be an effective strategy though!
It's been a year I've since I started watching him and its now that I realised that Tanya in "Tanya's mod" is a reference to Tanya from Youjo Senki
I always assumed that, though I've never actually checked.

A request, Incursus. I noticed a while ago that the commanders grant access to faction-specific weapons, I believe with Tanya's mod. The Eagle Empire's commanders have two particularly interesting weapons, the Auto-sniper and the 88mm Flak gun. I've been trying to set up a Tier 3 of the latter, but I'm not quite good at creating such constructs at the moment . . . do you think you could give it a shot in a video some time, if you haven't already?

I know this video was made 4 years ago, but I have to say this anyway. The reasoning you used on the ability to attach to the roof being a "mistake" is such a Survivor's Rulebook for Killers kind of moment, or in this case; Vanilla Player's Map Rulebook for Mapmakers.

The Gatling gun is the best way to take out anything that is exposed in a way. It fire rate shreds the target to shreds

That Double Kill was Epic
Had just bought the game the day before this after having watched your videos for a month and this was my second day playing and was super surprised and excited to play with you! Lots of fun, thanking so much for the entertaining videos and keep it up! I was CursingCarp by the way.
Also wanted to pitch a potential challenge to you. I know the meta for forts is to rush to weapons early and be aggressive but I was wondering if you could successfully make a build that rushes economy and then pushes to the late game win successfully and consistently.

The power of a drunk nuke freaking one shot two cores at once...one shot...
If you notice one of the opponents left the game but with a base still intact it may be advisable not to destroy him. The non-directed but technically functioning base could block the other opponent from claiming it.

This adds to the commentary, ypu get to react to random stuff happening, things you couldn't do better evenif scripted and it takes less effort to just que up and record a couple of matches. I say go for it man, I love your videos and most of us here genuinely don't mind you doing anything off your usual schedule so I say give us more random pubs my dude.
