I got it...we will use 2's compliment...
And for -M we will use just binary conversion...

if the number is already negative, m will be the 2's complement of the number and m will just be the the binary representation of the number. Refer to his second lecture fr more clarity.

for 2's complement use calculator don't do manually.
set calculator in decimal, put -ve value , click =, shift+bin, click =, u will get 2's complement of any decimal number...
