- This is a full trail run from the Vineyard School House at the gate getting into Hollister Hills SVRA to the overlook, Hector Heights.
Stuck primarily to McCray Road.

The most informative video of Hollister Hills good job.
Great video, planning on taking my Jeep there soon! This video showed me what to expect
I'm a native Californian living in AZ. I grew up in Monterey and used to ride at the Lower Ranch all the time. I now have a 99 TJ that I need to bring out to the Upper Ranch...
Yea! You should definitely check it out. Funny that you have a TJ, since I my buddy has a TJ and I posted videos of his rig too
Great video my friend! Is this trails terrain similar to the Coastal Trail that's off of Bixby Bridge? I want to try this trail but u don't want to bite off more than I can chew in my new 4x4 ford ranger. Thanks again!
I would say Old Coast Road off bixby bridge is much easier than this. Definitely a few steep areas, but the trail is relatively flat the whole way through. I was able to do it in a Subaru Impreza, non-XV without problems.

@@Matt-xq6ow good to know. Thank you so much.
Does the McCray road up to Hector’s height have a lot of brush to mess up your paint? Also, do you just come back down the same McCray road? Going tomorrow and tempted to do this trail
From time to time there can be some overgrow that can scratch your paint, but nothing too bad.
There are alternate routes to go up/down to Hector heights, but I think McCray is the easiest of them all.
I recently went up, a few weeks ago, and took McCray road I definitely have pin stripes, but they are so so so minor they pretty much disappear when you wipe them, usually you can drive in a way to avoid the pin stripes. There was only one optional road that was so overgrown I couldn’t avoid it
Do you think an 80 Inch wide Superduty can run this trail, or is the trail too narrow?
Not sure, but if it's a full size or dually, I think you the trail would be too narrow for you once you get closer to the overlook
Oh my bad, 80 inches is a Ford F250/ F350 SRW
So full size truck
