    I like your attitude toward homeschooling, probably because I feel much the same way.😂
    Slow and steady in forward motion, is what I look for.

    We love Math U See. We are currently using Primer, Alpha, Delta and Pre Algebra.

    I love your gentle approach to curriculum and books and piecing things together and not doing it all every day. Just finishing them whenever you finish and not rushing through things. I have been doing that these past few years and plan to continue that this year and I'm thankful it's worked for our family as well :)

    I have watched many homeschool videos and this is my Favorite. Our brains think alike and my daughter learns a lot like your daughter. Thank you so much for sharing. This has helped me so much.

    Love the idea of the first language lessons! I've been debating starting my 3rd grader with fix it Grammar. My oldest started in 3rd grade and has loved it, but they are SO different! Anyways, I love this gentle intro!
    I also wanted to thank you for your content from the bottom of my heart. I watched one of your old summer videos a few months ago and you talked about happy cheetah reading. I'd never heard of it and had to investigate. One of these videos described the 2 problems struggling readers face. Long story short, my 8yo mentioned above has been doing functional vision therapy for 2 months and is FINALLY making progress reading. I'm seriously almost in tears thinking of what a blessing your channel has been to our lives simply by telling the world about your summer plans. Thank you so much. I hope your family has a wonderful school year.

    We're doing bare bones for Story of the World this year as well. For my 3rd and 5th graders.

    I loved using first language lessons with my oldest so much that I've rearranged my youngest's LA so that I can use it again! We're also using answers in Genesis, the plant unit this year. Did you know they have worksheets for it that you can download for free? Mariah might like to add a few of those in here and there. I hope you have a wonderful school year!

    We do the same thing for our younger and older kids. The younger ones do it on a less intense scale. Could you link the note sketch book,please and thank you?

    can you recommend how many hours per day for homeschooling a kindergarten and a 3rd grade student all separate curriculum no overlap in subjects between the two kids. Thanks

    • @EverydayHomeschooler
      @EverydayHomeschooler  ปีที่แล้ว

      That's difficult to answer because it honestly depends on the child, curriculum, etc.

    Never hear of your art curriculum. Can you explain more? I have two children that love to draw and do all the art stuff.

    I was thinking of dropping out current history/science and going with what you just mentioned! As i understand, you've used these in the past? Has it set your current highschoolers well? Do they enjoy those subjects?

    • @EverydayHomeschooler
      @EverydayHomeschooler  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes I’ve used this science and history previously.
      The story of the world is wonderful (especially the audio!). It was a great introduction to world history for my kids (and can definitely be used to dive deep and study in depth too).
      As far as science, we really loved these life science books. Again, they were a great way to introduce my younger kiddos to topics that they would later study in depth in high school. (I did tend to add extra library books, encyclopedias, and hands on activities with them though, just helped to bring it to life).

    Do you need the teacher book for the IEW Bible Hero’s book or just the student?

    • @EverydayHomeschooler
      @EverydayHomeschooler  ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm not sure. I'm pretty familiar with IEW, so we'll get started, and if I need to purchase it down the road I will.

      This is my first time using IEW...we are using Bible Hero and I bought a used student book which had a code for the teachers guide free download. I just downloaded that and have it ready if needed.

      I would recommend the teachers guide bc it gives instructions on how to play the games and also other details that aren’t in the student book. Like someone mentioned, there should be a link inside the student book to download the tchrs guide in pdf form. I used that when needed. I also did Bible Heroes when my son was 4th grade and it was a great!

    We did IEW Bible Heros and First Language Lessons this past year. They complemented each other well. My daughter enjoyed both.
