I was exploring the possibility of using the Blade battery technology that BYD employs, as it could enhance the range significantly, which would be very beneficial. My only concern is with servicing. I’ve been a owner of a Tata Nexon EV since January 2022, and after driving it for 50,000 km, I’ve had a smooth experience with minimal challenges and am quite satisfied with Tata’s service so far.

Mahindra’s both ev’s are revolutionary no doubt but it’s also true tht BMW , Mercedes , Volvo have never targeted the mass market , they hv their specified clientage . It’s always better to wait for a year to grab the newly launched models of any car coz what’s the actual car is can be clearly visible after a year . Any company will always try to portray their car to be the best in the market but yes when they hit real on the road , the real performance can be seen .

Range surely is a challenge. 500km + range is during cooler months or they have factored in the extreme hot months. People in places where temperature goes over 40 deg, will the range drop drastically. A car at this price point will surely be used for intercity travel so how many times can the batteries take fast charging and what kind of damage will it cause. Charging infra is a challenge anyway....
LFP batteries can be charged faster than earlier NMC batteries..and LFP can be charged to 100% and has more charge cycles can last 20+years before range degradation. LFP can be charged faster as well. Mahindra is providing 11.5kw charger that means you can charge it once in a week from 20% to 100% within 6 hour ..per year it will have 70 charge cycle based on your use that means the battery with 3000 charge cycle can last 42 year ...if consider environment factors its will have life cycle of 30years.

Mahindra should have put those in one of their flagship cars, but not all. Some cars should have been cheaper. Itni power ka ev me karega kya koi, ICE cars thodi na hain.
