The presents thing sounds like competent incompetence, Sarah I had this with my husband and I just stopped getting his presents that he’d give to his family and stopped wrapping gifts and he ended up doing it because I didn’t!
I’m with Sarah, I think it’s total rubbish that Joel is completely disengaged in gift giving. Why not be interested in it and be involved?! It’s insulting to say “I didn’t ask you to”. You’re not going to get better without trying, and after the time he got gifts himself he obviously actually enjoys it. Fun thing to do together 👍

In our house it’s the same, I stress for a few months, I do all the decs, the presents, my husband won’t even discuss Christmas until December and then he just turns up and has a great time.. I have a fab sleep on Boxing Day when I can relax! 😊
I know when I was little, my siblings and I would go snooping for our pressies and find them before they were wrapped. But now I can see the other side of it, if you go snooping you take away the element of gifting a surprise for the person who shopped for you.

I will NEVER understand why men don't get involved with gift giving. My Dad never did and it isolated relationships in some ways with me, him and my sisters. But my husband REALLY gets involved with our two children and nothing fills me and them with more joy!

Ive stopped gifts as i got to many i love that people want to buy me so i ask them to give their time to me and for presente i know hand make things using my crafts i either cross stitch everyone cards or make a design they like for bauble baubles i made choclate wreaths for my carers and nurses and other hospital people to say thank you for their help this year again and have made my photography photos into a calendar for some special people in my life but your right it is a stress full and overwhelming thats why i stopped doing the whole family 💖as i have a life limiting medical condtion amoung other things so find it very hard but have a partner that helps me now
I love watching you both but Joel you need to lift your game. It’s obvious all Sarah wants is you to work with her to buy the girls gifts. She didn’t even ask you to wrap them. You guys are a team and it’s not fair you expect Sarah to go through all the stress by herself. Saying you didn’t ask her to is very dismissive and if she didn’t, it wouldn’t get done because you obviously don’t want to do it.

Like you from November 1st lists start. Partners birthday is 18/11 so as soon as the 19th hits it’s officially Xmas, all gifts are bought and wrapped by me before 1st December. Only presents partner helps with are from xxxxx. I also wrap the presents he purchases. Otherwise if it’s not gift wrapped it’ll be given in an Amazon box. (I use to use tin foil - so easy plus silver and shiny)

To be honest I'm disabled we dont really do anything for xmas my son is spending it with his girlfriend I dont mind I will be on my own other than my carers twice a day xxxx
I’m 15 minutes and having to turn this off. It makes me so angry with the way he is thinking, I don’t know how she is staying calm. It is not up to Sarah to organise everything to make sure the kids have a great Christmas. Reason why I’m a single mother by choice.
