Oh, this video is making me miss Spain! I had fun getting stuff at local markets for our breakfasts and also made a few charcuterie plates on our trip. we never had one bad meal in Spain!
At least you covered real food. I just watched a video from an English couple who wanted to stock up as they are self catering. They bought a lot of crap. Crisps chocolates choc cereal biscuits and other sweets. Even the vegan milk was long life with added sugar I was waiting to see what they would buy to cook proper meals. I noticed the Spanish black pudding. Is it similar to the black pudding in the UK. I love black pudding. I am a big lover of fish and I know they have good selection over in Spain. Also I love my salads. We eat tomatoes cooked and uncooked in the UK. I like tomato sauce cooked with plum tomatoes. Great also for a pizza base. Uncooked tomatoes sliced with a drizzle of virgin olive oil and a light sprinkling of sea salt are lovely. It was nice to see a selection of real food. Oh and I love Cava. So many to choose from 😊 Thanks ❤
Very glad that you like the video! Thanks for sharing some food culture in the UK with me! If I were to make more videos about grocery or food in Spain, what would you like to see? :)
We have this same supermarket chain here in Brazil (Carrefour), but the variety of seafood in Spain is much bigger. However, here we can find a great diversity of tropical fruits.
@@yumyumspainHappy New Year! We have those fruits in your video and also figs, amazonic fruits, guava, graviolas, tamarindos, jackfruits, jaboticaba berries and others.
I like this video. I'm new to living in Spain from Australia. There is fantastic food and excellent quality, as well. But I already miss the excellent Asian food and ingredients we had in Australia. So far, I've only found one Asian grocer in Tarragona where I live. Any suggestions where else I can look?
Thank you for your time and comment! Very glad to know you like the video :) Hope you enjoy the life in Spain so far.
Thanks for the comment! In Carrefour, sometimes it has a bio section where you can find organic products, depending on the size of the supermarket. I don’t know about Valencia tho as I’ve never done grocery shopping there.
@@yumyumspain Thank you for your reply and info. I’m planning a visit this year, first time in Valencia from So. Calif., for pleasure and research on way of life.
How is your country's supermarkets different from the Spanish one? :)

Cool! I’ve never had some of the fruits you mentioned. Thanks for sharing! :)
Nice video. One thing though, that 'pumpkin' was a butternut squash.
Thank you! Now I know :)
