That's the cool thing about Vrains, for the most part most of the cards used in the major decks are things you'd see in an actual deck. Ghost Girl's Altergeists are pretty much a standard competitive ready deck for the era. And Salamangreats were every bit as nuts in the anime as they were with their structure deck support.
Oh, and Accesscode Talker and Arrival Cyberse actually got BUFFED from their anime counterparts, crazy as that sounds. And Firewall Dragon's errata pushes it down to the way it was actually used in the anime, believe it or not.

Yeah, I loved vrains for that. It definitely made the episodes feel like a real duel even if 75% of it was them reading card effects.

I remember reading that the duel writer for Vrains had trouble writing up interesting duels for Soulburner because salad was literally too good and consistent of a deck lol

@@OscarSanchez-vo9dx The U link used to be incredibly broken. Previously you could only summon all extra deck monsters, so fusions, synchros, xyz, HAD TO FIRST go into the extra monster zone. So if you U linked and took your opponents extra monster zone, they would no longer be allowed to use any extra deck monsters. This was so broken that links were pretty much the only extra deck monsters used and it’s basically guaranteed win

I honestly don't think another protagonist ever used any monster as strong as firewall dragon or accesscode talker.
Idk the 200k+ atk monster in zexal seems to be slightly stronger…

@@ultimate_capper3643 Bruh i'm talking about competitive. Yeah Obelisk and Numeronius were strong in the anime, but Accesscode and Firewall have been competitively incredible. Accesscode is the strongest game ender in the game for 99% of the decks and Firewall before the errata was one of the strongest cards ever released.

Lmao, Anime God Cards are still far more ridiculous than Pre Errata Firewall and even more than Accescode, and Atem used all 3 of them. And as UltiCap said, even Pre Errata CED is arguably more powerful than Pre-Errata Firewall.

Fun fact, in VRAINS, in the duel where Playmaker uses Cynet Codec he summons 20 times in one turn, which I think has to be the highest number of summons any anime character has done in one turn (outside of maybe some infinite loop). Can’t think of any other turns in the anime on that level.
And in that same duel, he brought out Darkfluid Firewall dragon! ;)

Ngl, this duel makes me wanna watch vrains. I’ve never fully watched any yugioh anime after 5D’s, but coder plays with the codetalkers was dope.

The start of vrains is abit rough, but after the 20 or so onwards is godtier, some of the best Yugioh out there.
VRAINS is the worst Yugioh Master rules anime. The duels against the same person over and over again make it so freaking boring and repetitive, and the story was also weak , the second part of the anime was cool tho and Playmaker was cool , animations wise was also weaker so part 1 was trash , part 2 was fine could have been better tho

9:36 What Coder said here is true but gy effects upon Accesscodes destruction do go through. The only reason why Magician's Combination didn't work here is because it needed to be face-up. The reason I know gy effects still go through is because I play shaddolls and their effects can go through because technically they are now part of a new chain.

Vrains is my favorite Yu-Gi-Oh series the only things I hate is Its to short . There is a pattern that they follow when they created the New generation series Yuma resemble Yugi weak from the start and they both had partners and ancient artifact that gives them power.Yuya goes to a school and becomes the villain of their shows I definitely saw that coming and what will happen when you adapt Yusei who is cool in his series you will get Yusaku the undefeated cool duelist buts it's kinda weird calling him Yusaku since I mostly remember him as Playmaker so it safe to say that even if they haters of the show keep telling that Yusaku lost of cam but Playmaker did not lose even once.To be honest I'm expecting much from Yusaku since he's base on Yusei my favorite mc of Yu-Gi-Oh and he doesn't disappoint he live up to the expectation best episode 1and 2 that's got me hook from the start it's also the reason I started playing Yu-Gi-Oh again and I still can't forget how he make his first opponent of the series mis play and how he reversal ftk his rival using Firewall dragon.trivia first mc ace card that got ban and got erata.

I use link summoning a lot to summon any Link Dragon and fusion it with DM to summon DM the Dragon Knight. Also use Verte and Almiraj whenever it is possible.
Dark Magician may not, but Black Luster Soldier Soldier of Chaos works well with Dark Magicians.
Yeah like I honestly am very surprised that both DM and BLE still don’t have a link monster for them
Yugi uses 2 cards as ace which are Gandora and Exodia respectively whereas Dark Magician is used by Yami Yugi... and Yugi's aces would have turned the tide pretty easily but that was some good duel especially the final banish one.
I started playing YuGiOh when vrains came out needless to say code talkers were my first deck. @24:16 Distant couldve bounced Micro Coder from his GY, summon a code talker, search Cynet Optimization and swing for game lmao
In duel monsters, set 1 pass was cause for concern, and they’d spend the episode talking about what it could be, and how they were going to play around it.
In Vrains, the episode was half of a duel where players combo off for their turn, and explain their combos. Yet, in spite of this, I still don’t understand Gouki.
I feel another fun duel between these 2 would either be Blue-eyes vs Rokket/Borrel, Red-eyes vs salamangreat or Dark magician girl vs marincess
Would love to see actual competitive duels similar to this (just no old cards like Eye of Timaeus).

Stardust Dragon is my favorite ace monster. All Main Characters legacy cards are OP.
Code Talkers are so much fun to play. I first used crusadia to learn the basics of link summoning the went to code talkers. Is it the best deck? No. Is it a ton of fun to play? Definitely and it can just do some absurd nonsense.
I've heard the stories of both Extra Monster Zones being occupied by one player. I see now that the stories were true. What a phenomenal play! Super anime as well!
It's called extra link and that's not all it does.
Give you can use iblee card that after it's used of link (removed from field) summons itself to enemy field. That's thing prevents special summoning anything but links to the one that controls it.
You effectively locked your opponent.
But that's not all. Say you started turn 1? He could crash iblee and continue summoning in mp2? Nope you use salamangreat in process to litteraly drop your targeted card to 0 and iblee won't die :D

If I hadn't just read about the Extra Link with Sunavalons I wouldn't of even known that was a thing noone ever link summons anything but Halqi Aurarodon these days.
This DM deck was not well designed. 3 Circles? 3 Dark Magicians? 2 Mahads? Why the heck this deck have 2 Stormings? And why do you link summon Magician's Soul in a case that you would have it in your next turn to use its effect?
I also like vrains, it really makes me want to run a Salamangreat deck
All Sam had to do game 3 was wait to banish and he had the win. Got greedy when he banished the codec. The moment Coder would have gone into splash mage after his normal you just banish and it's game over.
If you guys play again you should use the indestructible full armour master just to troll him 😂
Code Talkers was my first deck back into Yugioh Thanks to Coder I might pick them back up because he's right the better u get with that deck the more you feel like a King of Games cuz the combos are magnificent
If only Dark Magician had better link monsters...but dang! This duel was intense and really fun to watch. Coder seems like a cool bloke and the deck he built worked very well just like in the anime.

I have a new challenge for you. I was playing master duel against a dude and I played max c during his first turn. This guy then summoned so many monsters that by the end of his turn I only had 1 card left in my deck. This got me to thinking. Is it possible to win by emptying an opponent's deck so that when they start there turn they have no cards and therfore they cannot draw and they lose. I figure of there is anyone who can make it happen, it's Sam.

To be honest the main Protagonist It hasn't got any new support yet is lyrically the person you're going against the last thing we got out of his is eternity codeAnd I'll give you a head in case you haven't figured it out yet it's sitting in front of the thumbnail. I have one question and this related to the latest ban list of master duel.
Cross-Out Designator is now limited to one. And I also am a code talker user whose deck has three copies of that card. And we code talker users utilize that card to stop hand trap that could ruin one of the archetype most powerful use tactic which is the Extra Link.
Cross out Designator helps us to stop hand trap like ash blossom and Nibiru the two that can ruin and slow down that tactic. And since it's limited to one now. That kinda a bit of a low blow to us. But there is an alternative which is called "Prohibition"
My question for those who have use it. Is it a useful substitute to beat/stop cards like ash blossom or Nibiru
