That's the cool thing about Vrains, for the most part most of the cards used in the major decks are things you'd see in an actual deck. Ghost Girl's Altergeists are pretty much a standard competitive ready deck for the era. And Salamangreats were every bit as nuts in the anime as they were with their structure deck support.
Oh, and Accesscode Talker and Arrival Cyberse actually got BUFFED from their anime counterparts, crazy as that sounds. And Firewall Dragon's errata pushes it down to the way it was actually used in the anime, believe it or not.
I remember reading that the duel writer for Vrains had trouble writing up interesting duels for Soulburner because salad was literally too good and consistent of a deck lol

Fun fact, in VRAINS, in the duel where Playmaker uses Cynet Codec he summons 20 times in one turn, which I think has to be the highest number of summons any anime character has done in one turn (outside of maybe some infinite loop). Can’t think of any other turns in the anime on that level.

So if you U linked and took your opponents extra monster zone, they would no longer be allowed to use any extra deck monsters. This was so broken that links were pretty much the only extra deck monsters used and it’s basically guaranteed win

VRAINS is the worst Yugioh Master rules anime. The duels against the same person over and over again make it so freaking boring and repetitive, and the story was also weak , the second part of the anime was cool tho and Playmaker was cool , animations wise was also weaker so part 1 was trash , part 2 was fine could have been better tho

The reason I know gy effects still go through is because I play shaddolls and their effects can go through because technically they are now part of a new chain.

It's called extra link and that's not all it does. Give you can use iblee card that after it's used of link (removed from field) summons itself to enemy field. That's thing prevents special summoning anything but links to the one that controls it. You effectively locked your opponent. But that's not all. Say you started turn 1? He could crash iblee and continue summoning in mp2? Nope you use salamangreat in process to litteraly drop your targeted card to 0 and iblee won't die :D

Yugi uses 2 cards as ace which are Gandora and Exodia respectively whereas Dark Magician is used by Yami Yugi... and Yugi's aces would have turned the tide pretty easily but that was some good duel especially the final banish one.

If Jaden deck is the regular Hero deck Yuya would probably lose since pendulum needs links and generics to work, and since there is no Odd Eyes link support, MonkeyBoard is banned and pendulum summoning is still nerfed Yuya will have a hard time doing anything. Sadly the best thing Yuya can do when going first is summoning 2 Persona Dragon and one Odd Eyes Vortex Dragon

I actually play my own Codetalker deck on master duel and irl. I love it. One of my third favorites. Second being Cyberdarks and first being Dinos all day.
In duel monsters, set 1 pass was cause for concern, and they’d spend the episode talking about what it could be, and how they were going to play around it. In Vrains, the episode was half of a duel where players combo off for their turn, and explain their combos. Yet, in spite of this, I still don’t understand Gouki.

Being a cyberse one trick, there are 2 weaknesses that would cost the duel every time, disrupting normal summons and tribute opponents monster cards
