      @@TitaniumLegman It's alright, I had something similar during my first playthrough.
      When I got to the 3 Angler fish place I didn't know what to do, as I didn't realize there was a perfect path if you stay still, so I ended up going around on the wall each time. I don't regret it though, as it led to one of the coolest experiences in gaming I've had.
      I had no idea what happened if you died with the warp core, and I didn't want to find out, so I flew the route like a dozen times to make sure I wouldn't die. On my final trip, holding the warp core, I exited the ship to reduce my size, bidding farewell to the trusty vehicle I had grown fond of over my entire playthrough, and navigated around the anglerfish on the lowest thrust I could. I was so stressed, the weight of the universe litterally on me, and getting to the Vessel I had never felt so relieved.
      Bonus funny: I had an even more idiot moment than most people do with the coords in the bottom left of the screen. I had taken a screenshot, but when I inputed it nothing happened. Turns out, I had taken the screenshot from the wrong side (the coords spin around in the middle of a circular room, in my defense, how was I supposed to know?). My ship was long gone, and I was panicking. After standing there with the game paused like an idiot for a solid 5 minutes, looking up the coords online, I resumed the game, only to realize they were in the bottom left corner the entire time.
      Stress, then relief, then panic, and finally embarasment. Still really thankful for all of it, truly an experience I'll never forget.

    Some people are oblivious, others are observant. Some have good memories, some are forgetful. Some are good at connecting dots, others not so much. Its fun to watch all types play this game, but there is a special joy that comes from watching people who just get it.

      This is exactly why I use Outer Wilds to decide if I want to watch more playthroughs by someone.
      I don't want to start watching a game like Hollow Knight if it takes me 20 hours just to find out that they haven't been paying any attention to the story whatsoever.
      Outer Wilds has many supercuts to decrease length and a fairly early set of mysteries to judge if a player is willing to share their thoughts and theorize.
      Portal 2's opening is really great for telling if a player was paying any attention whatsoever while playing Portal.
      Deltarune Chapters 1 and 2 are also good for telling if a player remembers the previous games well based on how they comment on returning characters and themes.
      Inscryption has enough mystery early on that you can generally tell if someone will discuss their theories or if they can infer game mechanics easily.
      On the other hand there are games like Omori and Hollow Knight which take a really long time to get any level of assurance on whether a player has been paying close attention, and since they're fairly long games I need to know someone won't just look at twitch chat and youtube comment spoilers the whole time instead of experiencing the story themselves.
      Not to say that these are be all end all's by any means, but it gives me a good starting point for deciding if I want to keep watching a person play games since I don't have the time in my life to watch 50 Hollow Knight playthroughs lol.

    Honestly, one of the most immersive and enjoyable playthroughs I've seen. The different things he found just by watching the way things worked together was really impressive and I got to see a couple things I'd never seen before. I didn't know that there was an effect when the Interloper bloops into the sun. The crazy theories and really unique path through the game was really cool. I did the same thing with dark bramble though, went there once and only came back when there was absolutely nothing else I could find. Awesome playthrough and I'll definitely check out the DLC stuff when I actually finish it. Currently I'm too nervous/jumpy to do anything in the really scary parts!

      Have you watched Razbuten’s analysis of outer wilds. He wasn’t the biggest fan at first, but after struggling and not knowing what to do he decided to spend one loop just following the probe, then at the end of the loop he used his signalscope and heard all the traveler’s playing their instruments, and heard them going out 1 by 1. That was the moment that made him fall in love with the game.

    Wow, finding the Vessel and Escape Pod 3 in Dark Bramble through exploration, rather than following Escape Pod 3's signal. • @rob-rendell
      @rob-rendell 17 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      @@TitaniumLegman Using the Little Scout to check out lights from a safe distance was smart - not everyone does that.
      The typical way to locate things in Dark Bramble is by signalscope. You followed Feldspar's harmonica signal to find him, but the three escape pods also emit a signal. When the game says "Unidentified signal nearby", you can pull out your signalscope to identify the signal if you're within 10m, and if you had identified either of the escape pod signals, it would have unlocked the frequency, allowing you to follow the signal from Escape Pod 3 to locate it. And once you find EP3, you can follow the trail of lights to the Nomai Graveyard, and then work out from the clues that you can shoot your scout through the seed around which the Nomai died to put your scout on the Vessel, giving you a HUD marker to follow to reach the Vessel.
