The Testo 511 is normally used to measure absolute pressure, e.g. for density compensation in flow measurement in ducts, laboratories and production processes. Other measurement parameters are barometric air pressure (= air pressure at sea level) and altitude above sea level.

How accurate would this be for measuring altitude above sea level? We are doing some construction work and find regular altimeters not to be accurate enough.

Testo-511 Pocket Size Absolute Pressure Meter measures altitude above sea level upto the accuracy of +/-3hpa , +/- 1 digit and can be used for construction works for measuring altimeters with good accuracy.
