So I've got the pico scope 2204a *AND* the pico scope 7 automotive software. Now all I have to do is learn how to use it with my new gaming laptop my son gave me. Why did I mention that? Well I'm also in the process of purchasing a MST 9000+ engine simulator, which I intend to use for ECU repair. My question is, can I use my 2204a for troubleshooting ECU or do I need a bench scope - like a Siglent or Rigol entry level oscilloscope. I'm thinking my 2204a should work because the engine simulator puts out the same signals as a real engine does. Keep in mind I'm not an auto technician but I *was* an electronic technician who branched over to marine electrical installation, troubleshooting and repair for the past 15 years, so I'm a little rusty with electronics but I do remember how most components and circuits work. Oh, I almost forgot, I will be also purchasing your pico training course, so I can get uP to speed quickly - rather than me fumbling around with this scope. As always your input is very much appreciated. thank you.

Hi, great channel, I've just subscribed. How does the picoscope 2204a compare with the Hantek 1008c? The Hantek has a higher resolution, more channels but also has all sorts of tests bundled in with its software eg relative compression, canbus tests, injector tests etc. Are they just gimmicks?
