    I sowed 18 gracile seeds following your method and all 18 have sprouted. Thanks for the info!

    Love seeing from seed to repotting vids! Appreciate the time it takes to make them and seeing your 3D prints being used for it is so rad :D hope they do well!

    I am coming back here for this little sciensist inside me :D This is how I would like to experiment with my plants - pollinate something, harvest seeds, plant it, maybe try to make a hybrid. It makes me so excited, but it is hard when most of my collection are Philodendron, Syngonium and Hoya. Their blooms are so rare and even some Hoya bloom for me very often I have no idea what to do with them, because their flowers are.. compliacted

    I have 2 plants that keep giving me seeds and I tried germinating some. Followed your method. Keeping my fingers crossed. The plants keep giving out inflorescences non-stop.

      yeah i want more seeds too, hard to find some, a lot of times they are pretty expensive too which makes it tough to take a gamble

    if I do close my sphagnum, it becomes to put green with algae like yours at 3:18, how can I do?

    • @TechplantChannel
      @TechplantChannel  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      the algae doesnt seem to bother my stuff so i just leave it grow

    Some ideas for 3D printing: lid risers for grow bins, pots like the round ones you show here but rectangular (maybe very suitable for carnivorous plants too), maybe a sort of lattice you can easily attach sphagnum moss to for use as a mount, custom tool rack (possibly with magnets). If I may give you a tip: I've noticed you say "kind of" a lot. I counted 23 or something in your last 3 min. video (the unboxing one). Most of the time it's redundant. Not necessarily bad, but your video comes across as insecure, to me at least. I know there's a lot of firsts for you too, with the video's you make but that doesn't mean you can confidently teach the things you've learned to people who haven't tried it :D. I believe viewers are more likely to be confident with what they learn too. I'm looking forward to more video's! I would love to see a (DIY) cheap temperature and humidity logger, like where you can get a .CSV/Excel output from to see what's going on when you're not there.

      @TechplantChannel  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey thanks for this awesome list! I will work on the kind of thing as well so thanks for pointing it out! I'll see what I can do about a humidity sensor logger! Thanks!

    Hi! Are there any alternative propagation medium to spaghnum moss?

    • @TechplantChannel
      @TechplantChannel  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      ive found that perlite works, perlite mixed with vermiculite works really well too and to top it off ive mixed in some osmocote and it works wonders!

    • @TechplantChannel

      @user-oh6xj2yz1b correct. I've tried some soil mixes but they do not perform well

    I have some tiny anthurium forgetii and vittarifolium seedlings in sphagnum moss and noticed some oribatids/sphag mites chewing on the leaves. Haven’t found any info online about this, I find it weird

    • @TechplantChannel
      @TechplantChannel  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      interesting, ive seen soil mites crawling on mine before but they never seem to actually damage the plant like the spider mites do so thats interesting

    • @onetwome
      @onetwome 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TechplantChannel The damage wasn’t like that of spider mites but chewed on like snails do. Yeah, now I just realized I’ve also found very small glass snails in my sphagnum and it was probably them. 🙃
      Love your content btw

    • @TechplantChannel
      @TechplantChannel  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      its fast AND its the fastest to fruit and go to seed. this anthurium will start flowering as a dang seedling which is unreal! its a perfect anthurium for practicing seed harvest and germination with anthuriums
