No digital nothing. Nada. No wireless. No in-ears. Just harmony singing. (I thought it was pitched up too, at first, then realized they and their voices were just that young and that good.) So glad this exists, as low quality as it is.
I dont know shit about BONES, but I remember going to see these guys play as as support act to America in '75. America were crap. Poco came on stage and sang this song almost accapella (just an acoustic guitar accompianment) and it was mind-blowing. Thanks for the posting - brings back great memories. Nice one.
I saw Poco perform an acoustic set that included this song in about `75. Just the one guitar and their vocals. The set lasted about half an hour. It was pure magic. I've never failed to enjoy a Poco concert.
I saw Poco live in northern NJ about 1975-1976. Awesome band with a timeless sound. Glad to have found them here so I can relieve those memories of growing up in the 70's!
Wow, 13 years ago. I've heard this song on Bones before and recalled it from my Middle Seventy Days. My favorite Groups had me an Outcast because I'm African America and I really enjoyed me some Gallery, Edward Bare, America and even that one big song in 1976 Afternoon Delight! Guys on the Track Team used to refuse to ride with me, they told Coach Means be listening to weird music. GOD BLESS!!!!
Written by Timothy. According to Felder's book, Timothy had recorded himself 6 times at home to create his own harmony for the song. Everyone loved it so it ended up being performed by Poco. One of my favorites.
Ya know you've got it all together in the groove, when ya can make music sound so laid-back and easy, ya can perform with your thumbs in yo' belt. Love Poco!!
I did NOT know Timothy B Schmidt was in Poco! Amaze-balls! The Eagles must have thanked their lucky stars to snag him! I miss Glenn so much! He and Don created the Eagles, and it's just not the same without Glenn. You are sorely missed, my man. I know everyone else in the band misses you too. My favourite Timothy song from the Eagles was I Can't Tell You Why. Still brings a tear to my eye after all these years.
In 1970, Timothy B. Schmit joined Poco, replacing founding member Randy Meisner on bass and vocals. He wrote and was lead singer on the song "Keep On Tryin'," Poco's biggest hit single to that point, peaking at #50 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1975. Apart from Poco, Schmit also contributed vocals to Firefall's 1977 hit, "Just Remember I Love You."
Guitar and three part harmony, doesn't get any better than this. Nobody performs like this any more. If you are not familiar with Poco, you are truly missing some great music.
Thanks SO much for this. Timothy is as amazing today as he was then. I saw The Eagles in May; absolutely stunning! But Timothy was sick and they had to cancel a few concerts after that. We were lucky our concert wasn't cancelled; we'd travelled a long way to see them. They were well worth the trip! Every note of the 3 HOUR concert was spot-on PERFECT!
Don't know Bones, (no use for a tv in colorado) but thank you producer, writer or whoever brought this incredibly awesome song back to life. The harmony is disabling! I've seen Poco over 20 times in the last 35 years and will be seeing them again June 11 at the Louisville Street Faire FOR FREE
i remember this song ,summer of 1975 ,i moved to this 2 traffic light town on lake occechobee ,where the ratio of girls to guys were about 4 to 1 ,all the guys got the hell out ,the pickings were nice ,used to go to the local pizza shop every night after work and drink pitchers ,and listen to this song on the juke box, no money ,no resposibility ,life was good

i saw it on bones too, and then i kept listening to it, and my dad walked by and started singing to it, i was like, oh did you see it on bones too, and he was like no, i used to play this for you when you were little, it kept me going for you. I cried
I have not heard this song in years. Glad Bones said the name of the song and Booth told the name of the band. A great song, a great band and a great t.v. show. Gotta go learn how to play it now.
No kidding. I love Poco and had forgotten this song. Gonna see if I can get my band to learn it. We do little pieces of acapella in other songs. The one guitar and vocals would be something a little different for us. Thanks Bones.
Boy.... does this ever put today's music to shame. Most pop singers can't even sing live & when you go to their concerts, they Lip Sync & charge a fortune for the tickets so they can have a big production number with smoke, techno & dancing. Maybe they think the smoke covers the fact that they aren't really singing?
@mccoobs I have Always listened to POCO. Oh man, so many memories so much fun. STILL listen to them and Im 53 yrs old. Guess I was always the weird kid in school. ANS??? SO??? LOL Still am still happy.
i love bones and season 7 has came out and brennan has a baby on the ep prisonner in the pipe but it hasnt came out yet but i read about cant WAIT!!!!!
@woodchuk123 Check out the Poco family tree created by Peter Frame. The Eagles are part of the Poco family. It's difficult to compare the two bands, even though they share members, still two different sounds. Frankly no one compares to Poco. I feel very lucky to have grown up listening to them, and to have seen them live at their peak.
God is this a great song or what? Timothy Schmidt is just unreal. One of the best voices ever.
Thank you for this great comment back in the days!
That's how you harmonise, folks. No BS auto tune, studio touch ups. Learn your craft and one day you might be this good. Real talent here.
They were always underrated. Great band. Love TBS. ❤️

I thought the same thing.. pitch seemed high, then I thought that IS what they sounded like at that time.
When tape ages the pitch is raised. It is a little raised but not by much.
Also this is the lip syncing to the studio version. Not a live performance.

That's real nice beautiful song with Timothy. God's blessings for ever 👍 💘
Stupendous...just perfect...
Nothing more to say.

I saw Poco live in northern NJ about 1975-1976. Awesome band with a timeless sound. Glad to have found them here so I can relieve those memories of growing up in the 70's!
I saw the boys sing this song in Frankfurt, West Germany in 1975. Sounds so good. I still know every word.
I love Timothy's voice. He sings like an angel. I hope his health improves
Best harmonizing group ever. Listen to Paul & George back up tim
Man, wish there was a better copy of this. I saw Timothy sing this on his first tour as an Eagle in 1978. One of my all-time favorite songs, period.
My mom heard this on bones and hear we are. This song rocks. Thank God for bones. Lead us to a killer song. God bless this band and there families.

Shivers up my spine!
One of the most beautiful harmonys ever.
I love Timothy B. Schmit!
Awesome! Love the incredible harmony - Timothy B, Randy, and Jim! 1975...life was good, and harmony was the sound of our magical generation!
That is Paul cotton and George Grantham not Randy Meisner and Jimmy Messina...learn your poco
This is so cool. It brings me back to what I was doing in 1975 and who i was doing it with. Oh, for my youth
❤❤❤ love the song
This is HOW Music was back in the Day REAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He also toured Jimmy Buffett and replace David Crosby because of Crosby's drug problem on one of their albums but was not credited
At least its getting popular! It's a great song (:
