I loved the shows from SID AND MARTY CROFT . The Bugaloos , H.R. puff and Stuff , sigmund the Sea monster , the land of the lost ( my favorite ) Electro woman and DYNA Girl , the lost saucer , Wonder Bug ( another favorite ) Magic Mongo , Dr . Hahaha yeah I like that I grew up on this show in the 70s actually I really forgot about this show I just discovered it today when it popped up on my recommendation I'm like damn how did I forget about this lol
I loved this show as a small child. My mum made me a waistcoat with a pair of wings attached to the back. I spent hours and hours jumping off our front porch trying to fly!
I’m 22 and I discovered this from a different video talking about this and other Krofft shows, this one’s my fav. So much so that I went all my way to get a rare DVD of the show off EBay just to watch the whole show. Totally worth it. 😎
I had a very miserable childhood and The Bugaloos made me very happy and The Senses of Our World is a magical song by Caroline Ellis and I had nice dreams about her as a kid. 9:05
I have the show on DVD. Loved Martha Raye. She was a very funny villain🤣🤣🤣🤣. I love her singing the supersonic sneakers, she should have recorded the song in its entirety. Around the time she was on the show, she was entertaining the troops in Vietnam, even visiting the injured soldiers at the base hospitals. If I recall she was buried with full military honors for her service, and was a recipient of the Jean Hersholt humanitarian award at the Oscars. Later she was on the Polident commercials as the "fresh mouth" and played Carrie Sharples (Mel's mom) on Alice.
I agree some of the puppets are creepy. And the one member of the group who's like a muppet-human hybrid. Yikes! And it's a Ginger. I bet they're all made in some underground lab.

I was introduced to "The Bugaloos" on Nick At Nite's Puffapalooza marathon in 1996. Of course, I instantly fell in love with Caroline Ellis. I must have played "The Senses Of Our World" at least a hundred times on the VCR after the marathon ended.

Whoa! I had completely forgotten this! Freaky stuff. All I could remember was Martha Raye as that freaky whatever. ( edit)Sweet Jesus, I'd forgotten how bizarre this show was. Thanks for posting!
I watched this in the early 70's. My boyfriend in the first grade had a Bugaloo's lunch box that I coveted. Back then they were metal and usually had a matching thermos that fit inside. One thing that i totally dont remember is the cast being British!!! That yellow outfit that Ms Raye wore looked like someone had plucked Big Bird!!!😅
I was born in 1978! I own the DVD of this classic Sid and Marty Krofft television show The Bugaloos! The actors are very handsome, and the actress is very pretty, and they are all also very talented singers, and musicians! I saw the very funny and very talented legendary actress Martha Raye at Derby Dinner Playhouse in the very clever and funny play Everybody Loves Opal. Thank you for posting and sharing this!
John Reid (Elton John’s manager) also auditioned for the show it’s crazy he almost could have been a Bugaloo too, Sid said that Mick Jagger picked The Bugaloos
In addition to the Bugaloos Martha Raye has also worked with WC Fields, Bob Hope, Charlie Chaplin, Abbot & Costello, Danny Thomas and the Three Stooges!

Caroline was in a British Comedy film called Confessions from a holiday camp in 1977 she's lovely girl it's a bit risqué, watched it and thought she's beautiful, did a bit of research and it brought me here 🥰
More good memories from the 70s the bungaloos h& r puff n stuff Sigmund the sea monster ect were bizarre but that's what them great and so interesting and showed kids that good can win out over evil
The set of these Krofft type shows, there were many, are all my favorites. Wow. Just too much fun and coolness. The people back then were better people than today's people and it shows. By far.
This was my very early childhood @ 7 AM every Saturday morning. This and the Banana Splits. Even back then @ 5 years old I knew these shows were trippy and a bit off.
Oh wow I absolutely have forgot about the bugaloos damn this brings me back to when I was a little kid in the seventies oh my Lord wow yes I remember this show
This was the trippiest series I've ever watched.
Sid and marty had the best drugs imaginable to create these crazy shows.
Dude they said they were never on drugs while making any of their shows but, you know what believe what you want I’m not gonna stop you.
I was a kid then, this show and HR Puff n Stuff...eating captain crunch on saturday mornings...was the best..
