Now, if you are a student with an active study permit but have also applied for a visitor visa and got approval,will the visitor visa still be valid after your study permit expires in a year's time. ?
Exactly, when your student visa expires, the visitor visa gives you an additional 6 months to stay in the country. There is something we call a visitor record, which means an extension of your temporary status, but the visitor visa allows you to get more years in your passport for multiple entries into the country.
From what youre saying, for instance if I've 4 years undergraduate student visa which will expire in 2029, i can apply for visitors visa? And will the visitors visa be valid after my studies in 2029 or while my studies in ongoing?
My study permit application has delayed and I have deferred my program to the next intake, should I send the revised admission letter to IRCC for their records?
