I can tell Chad wants Mudvayne fans to really appreciate Hellyeah and will do anything for us to tune into that music. Almost feels like a part of Mudvayne left with him, especially with the Blood on him and Morbid vibe from Heavy Metal that is present in this killer video !!
Saw them live. They sounded like mudvayne with more radio friendly riffs. They paid tribute to vinnie, it was rad. Miss the technical guitar riffs greg added though. Maybe i just wish i saw mudvayne again

I have a huge feeling that Vinnie and Dime are looking down from Valhalla screaming at the top of their lungs "HELLYEAH!!!" while pounding some grog with Odin himself. This track is what metal is supposed to be about and I LOVE every second of it.
The guitar tone in the solo reminds me - just a bit - of Dime's Damageplan solos in songs like Blunt Force Trauma or Breathing New Life. Just the tone of it. Waves of nostalgia from back down the timeline for this group. Fun!

Very generic bass work. It's a tough comparison, though, because Ryan Martinie is one of the best bassists in metal (some would say his talent was wasted in Mudvayne but I think he was a perfect fit for what they do/did) and his sound is instantly recognizable. IMO he's one of the biggest reasons why Mudvayne stood out from the other myriad of similar bands.
