- 🤔🤔🤔 Processing or p5.js? My opinions 🤔🤔🤔
In this video i share my opinions about the benefits of p5.js and Processing.
I also talk about how i’ve automated a design process for the german record-label „Tonboutique Records“ by building a custom web-based design-application.
Have fun and spread the word!!! :-)

Hey Tim! gonna watch all these. Thank you !
Thank you Tim!! This video is tremendously informative
Great video Tim!
Legend, love your work
!
Thanks for taking your time to explain your thoughts on Processing vs p5. I think the current inability to export p5 sketches as scalable vector graphics is a major dealbreaker. A few rather vague attempts at making a functioning PDF export module exist, but the are either unsupported or missing too many features. For now I am sticking with Processing if I know that my sketches will be part of a professional workflow. However, once p5 catches up on this important feature, I will likely transition from Processing. Until then I will be juggling both environments.
createSVGCanvas() has been available since 2014? Im confused. What do you mean?
@@iamunknown8699 Can you point me to a p5 example that is using createSVGCanvas() to save what is drawn to the canvas to a scalable SVG file?
wow, that's amazing!!
Great music cover tool and thanks for talking through your ideas. Do you have an opinion with regard to the connectivity of MIDI to p5js?
You're awesome man! Thanks a LOT!
Thanks alot!
Hi! Thank you for your opinion :) I'm just curious about the application, that you made and show in this video. Does this application provide svg or png image?
It exports as png
🙌👍👍
do you know how to export p5.js animation? is there any reference?
Can we use p5.js in a commercial project?
I strongly think so, it is a foundation that depends on sponsorship and contributions from organizations and members of the public. It is a non profit organization.
Maybe one day we can connect and collaborate on something!
Do you have course for p5?
if you're not already familiar with The Coding Train channel on TH-cam, you might find his videos helpful
I prefer p5 waaaay more, simply becauand i can easily place it in an html page.se it has MUCH MORE features, due to DOM... and I can place it inside an HTML page with great performance due to V8 jit... so awesome
processing 3 give better performance than p5.js
unfortunately
coz the browsers cap it :\
Whats his name?
0 seconds into the video, and I am already getting earraped by a clap!
As self diagnosed koumpounophobe I feel a little bit awkward watching this...
