Bulldozer Bucket Rebuild (long edition)

This is a project that came through the shop recently. Thought I would make a video of the process, since there aren't too many dozer bucket repair videos. Hope you enjoy! :)

This bulldozer bucket was pretty worn down, so we not only had to replace the wear plates but also the base plate. We cut off the plates and the teeth (on the ends) with an oxy acetylene torch, and used stick welding with 7018 rods to put the new plates and teeth on. There was so much welding on this, there's at least 40 pounds of welding rod on it.
