I replaced all those screws at the bottom with rive nuts and stainless hardware also added a small dab of blue lock tight it looks great and they are still nice and tight I have a video of it on my channel if you wanna check it out 👍🏼
You can temporally fix the door issue by sticking a screw or a bolt where the the cable ball hooks on the inside. Put the cable back and its stretched out more allowing the door to open from the inside.
On your battery look at the pins usually the battery temp pin is pushed in and causes battery to not make good connection and it thinks it’s overheated.
I had the same thing happen when I had my obs. I believe it was actually the hinge that latches the door closed on the door. It needs pushed back because it moved to where it won’t open the door from the inside
Take the inside door mechanism off one of the rear doors and put it in that drivers door. It’ll get you by until parts come in stock and you use that door more then any other door from the inside
My 02 GMC had both rear doors stuck closed right before a 2400 miles road trip. The doors didn't open or close no matter which side your tried from, it was a royal PIA. Looks like your making huge process restoring the OBS to its glory tho! Keep it coming
hy ryan i have a bricknose obs(same door panels) ive found get some 3m foam tape and put it between the door panels (around the edges) then screw it down and it fixes the squeaky floppy door panel issues im gonna completely do a fully custom and modernized interior on mine once i find a 7.3idi engine ill show you what i mean then i guess if you dont see this
put a MX clutch or brake cable adjuster on the door bracket, then you can take up the slack on the cable..... Slit the adjuster if it already isn't so you don't have to cut the cable....
I’d just take the latch assembly off the driver rear door and order the one from Ford, once it’s not on back order just replace the rear assembly 🤷🏼♀️
You can’t give more play in the door handle by bending that bracket back. The wire isn’t changing length when u do that. Just changing the exit flange location.
My Siberian express (same as fern’s) with the same pump lasted over 10 years on my daily and I live in the Sierra Nevada. Snow, ice, mud, you name it I did it. EXCEPPPPPT HIT DUNE Whoop sections😂 I’ve never had a problem with them though. My buddy was a train conductor and got me some actuals. For the price and sound I’d never complain about the plastic ones
Cp addict & Bronco graveyard has the handle mechanism & cable… since you already got the stiffness plate you need a new latch cable because your is to far gone. I got mine sitting in a box till after I get the bronco back from body shop
The cable ends are NOTORIOUS for being brittle on the door cables. Also I’d swap the inside plastic handles to the chrome handles. I broke 2 in my 96 obs. Lol
Ryan, you should look into the Tekonsha 90195 P3 Brake controller. I have it in my vehicle and you can store multiple different settings it for different trailers. It works great and priced decent.
To anyone taking off the break controller. Take the drivers side screw out and bend the bracket down and pill the controller out. You will them be able to get the other screw. Then throw that bracket away and use that first one He held up. It screws to the dash and then the controller snaps into it. Snap hard and it secure.
hey Ryno? love the vids Ryno. question. on the door latch...do they make an aftermarket mechanism that will work? also have you checked Rock Auto and LMC truckparts? all the random stuff in the truck Uhhh get a cheap metal shelving unit to put outside on patio, fill it with some small tupperware containers and a a tub for the bigger stuff, to throw all that random stuff into. of course it requires cleaning the truck out on a semi regular basis. :P which now that I think on it, that last bit is just a whole lot me the pot callin the kettle black because I'm sooo bad about that.

Toyo is so bad that les shwab stoped selling them becouse of the problems they were having. Now up here in central oregon is a lot different weather than so cal like we get weather hear negative Temps to 100 degrees in summer and feet of snow in the winter and the most popular tire up here are ko2 and wrangler duratrack but toyos fail here .

You should check the RCA cables on the amp or the back of the radio that may be why your front speakers are not working

mate the go too is recarc you only ever go with recarc tow pro when needing a break controler. They're the best on the market.

Double-sided foam sticky tape between the door and door cards. Keeps pressure on the screws so they don't wobble out
I've popped a few toyos, but I blame the Kern county desert, more than the tire. Nothing like the burnt out RVs.

Try looking at salvage yards for the door parts
On the door put a long cable on it and run it inside so you can pull it and open it from the inside till you can get a new handle.

yes amazon sells a reinforrcement bracket and better cables (kits available elsewhere too )

all the replacements are chinese parts just different brands slapped on them and priced different very little obs parts are made in the usa
