It sounded so low on album I thought it was like a seven string or something lol I’m not a guitar expert but that’s just what it sounded like to me lol
I loved watching this video. Thank you for sharing this. This song has moved me so much. The DADGAD tuning is something really want to learn. It’s so striking. Cheers friend.
this video whips so much ass. it is very cool that you cared enough to break down not just the song, but also the DADGAD (and variants) backbone that supports the entire bilmuri catalog
I’m obsessed with how much harmonic content Bilmuri has extracted out of DADGAD without falling into the ‘open tuning’ trap. I intend to make a more in depth video about it further down the line, because it really is a fantastic song writing tool!
@@RajorshiBhattacharyyaI just subscribed bc I’ll be looking forward to that too. Your ear is probably better than mine but I think I was able to pick up that he uses a similar tuning on a 7 string for Drunk Enough, I’d like to test that out myself but I don’t have a 7 string 😂
@@RajorshiBhattacharyya Do you have this tabbed out by any chance? there are tabs for this that work and sound close but i feel like the way you play it sounds a little more accurate but im not as good by ear, it was hard to follow on what you are playing in the riff thats after the breakdown and during that mandolin country riff before the final chorus lol
Could you just write out the fret numbers for the lead? Doesn’t need to be a full tab, I just have a really hard time distinguishing where your hands are during the lead lick.
You're a very talented player and I appreciate you going out of your way to not only cover Bilmuri but provide tutorials. Hope to be able to learn these some day!
I dont get your bends from 14 to 16, it kinda doesnt make sense in the short lick, they way you explain it and play it doesnt match up, but still thanks for the hard work !
All the voicings for DADGAD can be played in drop C. All you have to do is move the positions of your notes in the strings 6,5,4 and 3 in DADGAD up 2 semi tones in Drop C, and you got the same chords.
Nice job. I'm wondering if it's the tone or if he uses a sound effect because I thought it was an octave lower. Or maybe it's the bass that plays this part. The notes are spot-on though and sorry if you already explained that part haha
Ahhh just tell me the voicings dude! Chorus chords it’s difficult to tell where you’re letting opens ring and where you’re fretting. For example, on the Bm, are you fretting notes on the top 4 strings and letting the bottom 2 ring out? Or are you also letting 4th string D ring out and/or muting 5th string A?
From 6 to 1: 9-9-0-7-0-0 for B minor From 6 to 1: 7-7-0-6-0-0 for A major I’m not muting any strings. Let em all ring out for this one. In some other songs, he does mute the 4th string. Hope that helps!

My man how did you get this tone it’s incredible I’d love a full tone demo
I talk about the EQ for a bit. Check from 1:06. The position 2 thing is also pretty vital.
Great job man, liked and subscribed! I covered this one as well but would say your way of playing it is more accurate by far.
Anyone covering Bilmuri is automatically a veteran cranker, thank you for your service 🫡
This video has fully engorged my positive mind.
Ps cranked my hog the whole time

I’ve had it for a while now!
i wish you mentioned how to play the chords
I did! Probably didn’t mention the exact positions but if you pause the video, it should be easy to make out.

I think it’s supposed to be double stops in the bends too

They tune an octave lower in post!

It’s an octaved strat, bridge position humbucker, played through the Gojira Neural DSP plugin.
However it is also paired with the regular postion 2 clean sound for maximum thiccness
So is the tuning DADGAD, then octave lower in the Gojira DSP plugin? Fatso mix pedal.
I just wanted to say that's a beautiful guitar
Thanks! Wish the camera caught the details of the fretboard better though, that wenge do be popping
