Ok, Frosty absolutely won me over. If not for the pandemic, and the fact that I live in Germany, I would have gladly adopted him once he's old enough (12 weeks being the best time, as they would have learned to control their mouthing behaviors).
Or you could adopt at the regular time, and put the effort in to train them, as after roughly 12 weeks they are very difficult to train as they have surpassed there ideal learning age.
P.S. - if you did adopt a puppy, then get it at the right time, and don’t be lazy and try to avoid the training, if they chew they are in pain so they don’t learn to control their mouthing they need to be taught. That is the only way they know to numb that pain. Buy them harder toys to chew on, because it wont be easy no matter what dog you get.
@@charlie-georgeshadbolt5921 Honestly, not what I was referring to, and not being lazy. What I meant by mouthing is when it comes to play. If a pup doesn't get enough feedback from their siblings about bite inhibition, then there is a likely chance that they will be mouthing a lot into adulthood. That can be very problematic, especially if they chew away your shoes (for example). However, I do understand that there is the likelihood of bad mouthing behaviors continuing even after that tender learning time when they should have gotten feedback from their litter mates. If that is the case, then the adoptive parent will have to step in and show them what is okay and what is not. Even at an old age, a dog can still learn new behaviors depending on how they are treated and how they are taught.

Imagine what all this stuff must look for them. At this age their focused range of sight is about their body length. Eyes react kinda slowly and literally everything they see or touch is tons of new information. No wonder they sleep all the time :D:D:D
