I find it funny when the song goes "it not the end." Because in Rainimators vid they are fighting in the End dimension. It is kinda funny Edit:Who like Rainimator?
Not gonna die tonight - It's not the end pairs quite well in my opinion Similar theme of not abandoning a fight, in one case where all seems hopeless, in the other when it seems like your enemy is seemingly backing down after you've shown that you're able to beat him, double down on him because you can't be sure he's really beaten and because, again, at least in the beginning everything seems hopeless. Both talk of beating impossible odds and finishing a fight of some greater significance. I could pull some Bible interpretations now which is something Skillet is often at the very least alluding to (mostly outright stating) but I don't know the intentions behind this song and as such will only say, parallels could be drawn but the theme is of course transcending religion. A notable difference would be that in not gonna die tonight the lyrical protagonist is under actual attack by "death" and it's about their fight to survivle, while in it's not the end the lyrical protagonist is moreso under attack by circumstances, people with good intentions but flawed approaches and perhaps also malevolent actors/people actively opposing them and hindering them from reaching a bigger goal than just their own survival of the attack. I now like to think that somehow, It's not the End takes place for the same protagonist(s) as in Not gonna die tonight, where they continue/finish their fight against "death" (in the skillet video a large black Hydra) with some more backup than a lion and a statue (though in the skillet official video, the hydra was killed in the end. sort of. didn't see it's stump being burnt out so it could rise again...) Yes, I know nobody explicitely asked for half an essay written on what is essentially my personal take inspired by the OC, but here it is, deal with it ;-) If you couldn't tell, I liked the song.

Heres the thing that im wondering. Ive been listening to this on repeat its a great song and one of my favorites, but what happens when/if rainimator quits making animations because quite a bit of this channels success is because of rainimator and i hope it continues to keep making songs if that ever happens because the music is great so i just hope all the success isnt just because of rainimator and it stays good. Keep up the good work i wouldn't like this fabulous music go to waste
