*A Deep Dive into the Begode X-Way Electric Unicycle: Performance, Features, and Real-World Testing*
    * *0:11** Powerful Motor and Lightweight Design:* The Begode x-way boasts a 3000W hour, 168V motor, offering immense torque and speed. Despite its power, it weighs less than the Master V4, thanks to the use of magnesium in its construction.
    * *0:47** Adjustable Coil Shock Suspension:* The unicycle features a coil shock, the successor to the ds200, with adjustable preload, rebound, and compression. The seat doubles as a trolley handle and provides access to the shock for adjustments.
    * *2:47** Fine-Tuned Suspension Linkage:* A slider mechanism, similar to the one introduced on the "x-way" model, allows for suspension adjustments, affecting the linkage geometry for a customized ride.
    * *3:32** Height-Adjustable Pedals:* The pedals offer height adjustability to accommodate different rider preferences and riding styles.
    * *3:56** Kenda Knobby Tire:* The x-way comes equipped with a Kenda knobby tire, suitable for both street and off-road use. The narrator's unit has this tire, though he notes that many he's seen have street tires.
    * *4:49** Reimagined Motor and Rim:* The C38 D-4 motor features 38mm wide, 4mm tall magnets. The narrator was able to reach speeds close to 50 mph during off-road testing.
    * *5:29** High Speed and Customization:* The unicycle's top speed can be unlocked with off-road mode and field weakening adjustments.
    * *5:49** Other Design Features:* The x-way lacks the leg blocker found on the Blitz model. The display shows four battery indicator lights, and the headlight includes a blue ring.
    * *6:42** Suspension Travel Adjustment (Not Implemented):* Holes in the design were originally intended for set screws to adjust the suspension's resting position, but this feature is not currently implemented.
    * *8:18** Real-World Testing at Fullerton Loop:* The narrator, accompanied by Marty, tests the Begode x-way on the Fullerton Loop, assessing its performance on various terrains and obstacles.
    * *10:17** Suspension and Firmware Adjustments:* Before the ride, the narrator adjusts the suspension preload and rebound, while Marty updates the firmware to the latest version, potentially increasing the top speed.
    * *11:45** Stable Braking Performance:* The narrator notes that the brakes feel stable and effective during testing.
    * *13:27** Tire Traction:* The narrator experiences some tire slippage during acceleration and braking on certain surfaces.
    * *15:13** Off-Road Performance:* The unicycle demonstrates its ability to handle steep inclines and challenging terrain.
    * *25:35** Speed Test:* The narrator reaches 43 mph with all speed-enhancing settings turned off, indicating the potential for higher speeds with adjustments.
    * *40:28** PWM Alarm:* The PWM alarm is set at 80, and the narrator triggers it during a single-track section, reaching 75.
    * *42:17** Clunky Suspension Noise:* The suspension makes clunky noises during certain maneuvers, although it remains quiet during others.
    * *1:21:25** Braking Test:* The narrator tests the braking performance, concluding that traction, rather than the wheel's braking power, is the limiting factor.
    * *1:36:24** Dam Climb Test:* The narrator successfully climbs a steep dam, with the tire slipping before any signs of the wheel's power being overpowered.
    * *1:43:23** Overall Assessment:* The narrator is impressed with the Begode x-way performance, noting its power, stability, and handling. The only issues mentioned are the clunky suspension noise and a broken suspension component (caused by Marty).
    * *1:55:13** Future Plans:* The narrator plans to further test the unicycle's 0-30 mph time using a race box and compare it to the Blitz model.

@Blox117 it's in it most torque setting, field weaking off and off road mode. It's a 55+ mph wheel in race mode with the field weakening turned up.

    • @Blox117
      @Blox117 หลายเดือนก่อน

@@squidsleap explain what race mode actually is. it really shouldnt change much. field weakening should not be required to reach this speed, its literally just a bonus. field weakening is really meant for low torque, high rpm motors where it can make a lot of difference for not a lot of increase in current.

Why do u guys call it a SMART BMS when all it does is show cell voltages. My E=BOARD has a true SMART BMS where i see cell voltages but i can also make changes. like lower cell cut off voltages per cell giving me a bit more range / select static or charge balancing so it all ways balancing even when the board is off / i can set when balancing kicks in from stock 4.0 per cell right down 3.1 per cell so it can balance the hole charge cycle not just the last 15-20 percent. You / Marty / MR Wrong way hell every EUC reviewer calls a BASIC BMS a smart BMS. You all make grate videos & reviews please just call what EUCs have a dumb BMS or a basic BMS but not a smart BMS there just not. it would be good if they caught up & fitted real smart BMS & i look forward to the 1st wheel that does have a true SMART BMS fitted

we call it a SMART BMS because it is programmed to perform tasks in a certain way. It stops charging based on certain criteria that are set at the factory. You think that your BMS is the only one that is smart because you were able to change these values, I disagree. Just being that they have been set is good enough. Taking the responsibility away from the end user might actually be smarter overall.
