Shooting videos in the dark doesn’t look good, it’s hard to make it come out nice. Also, night vision videos also look trash. Think about trying to take a picture of the moon.
There’s already a “real life” Among Us game which I love (though these people adapted their own version very well!) There’s Blood Potato in which the room is pitch black and everyone wanders around (make sure there are no obstacles). One person is the Blood Potato. If two people bump into each other, they take turns to whisper their roles. If both are “potato”, they walk on. If someone whispers “blood potato”, the other person screams as loud as they can and goes to the spectators’ zone. The game ends when everyone is “dead”.
Another game that inspired Among Us is Werewolf or Mafia, which is more well-known.

Killers need cooldown on kills so they can’t instakill everyone. Also, survivors need a more efficent way to communicate tasks ready to everyone. Maybe some sort of online shared drive document or an app?
They did have cooldowns of 30s but I think the video was edited such that there's little idle boring time.
they said the kill cd was 30 seconds near the end. We just didnt sit and watch nothing for 30 seconds every round xD

This was actually so cool! My few suggestions: maybe the tasks a bit easier and add ways to sabotage lights/close doors/do reactor, etc.
Install smart lights, and everyone can shut them off from their phone. Or make them go red and there is a special task the crew has to do in a certain amount of time.

I agree, I think having a designated zone that they could pull out their phones or check out a laptop for all that stuff would be very interesting.
Cams would actually be pretty easy, just have a laptop on a random table that connects to some of the cinematic cameras they use for the video
Suggestion; add colors to the images in the bottom to match the color of the hoodies. Keep the crewmate/impostor colors, but add maybe a bar below or above the images matching the hoodies color.

I feel like Jordan’s scream wasn’t intentional. Sometimes people are going to make sound or scream just because they’re surprised.
1. Have everyone keep a radio/phone on to report a body or call an EM mtg
2. Everyone has their own weapon but the Imposters are the only ones to use it so it's not obvious to point them out
3. Imposters can have the building's lights turned off with a button telling people that are not playing to turn it off (and have little lighting around to make sure know one trips)
4. Someone can only report a body once they are standing over the body
5. Everyone has a timer of sorts but the imposters are the only ones keeping track for their kill cooldowns

I like the idea of phones being used. When the imposter kills they take their phones and the dead person must also leave their sweater on the floor and continue doing tasks
Have one of you place your phone somewhere and connect it to a loud speaker. The imposter can call the phone with their phone and that could be considered an emergency. If the call ends without anyone picking up, it's a win for the imposters. It's an idea to be improved upon.
Honestly if they used that fake bomb they've used in so many airsoft videos that's an easy way to simulate a sabotage, the only problem is it may be too quiet to hear it beeping.

I.e., the call ends long before anyone gets there Perhaps a designated person gets a (quiet) call on their phone and then plays an audio file though the speaker? The file would be longer than the phone ring
WhatsApp calls rings are pretty long. You could also call more than 1 person simultaneously using groups. It could have 2 people pick up the calls to end the sabotage
It’d be cool if you added a sabotage system. And a map. Maybe have everyone have a device on them. And the devices have a map of the area. And the imposters will get to have an option for a “sabotage”. Like turning off the lights or something. And you have to go to a certain area to fix them. Similar to how you can connect Google to turn your lights on and off. Or maybe have the sabotages being, messaging someone who’s not in the game, to turn off a light switch. Idk. These are just concepts, I’m sure there might be better ways to do this though.
And the devices could keep track of tasks if needed, so you could write them down or show what tasks need to be done.

How to easily do sabotages & fix the task system, everyone carry a phone on them where there’s an app where you can check of tasks, but you don’t know who checked it. Each round there’s a game master & when the task bar hits the certain checks like 12 or something, they blow the whistle & call the game. The sabotage part is where the imposters have a phone to text the game master, the game master calls everyone & if you’re a crewmate you can’t move till you turn off your phone.
The only problem with turning off the lights is that no one can see so
1. It’s hard to turn the lights back on.
2. The imposters also can’t see.
3. It’s hard to shoot videos in the dark, it just doesn’t look good.

I feel for you, Jordan. I'm way too loud when I'm supposed to be quiet during games, too. When I was a kid we would play hide and go seek in the dark at sleepovers, and my friends would always find me because I couldn't stop giggling.
It's not cheating, though, when you giggle and reveal yourself. It is when you are getting killed, and alert everyone to what is happening.
This is the first time Jordan hasn’t been immediately ousted as imposter nor killed as crew member. Brighter days are ahead.
Add sabotaging the lights, everyone except impostors have to stare down at their feet. Also use the TTT bomb somehow as the oxygen/reactor mechanic.

Edit: her nieces and nephew were the ones to suggest tasks that are typically chores bc they were just excited to play 🤷🏽♀️

A couple of improvements. No hand gestures (peace sign) , they are as bad as talking, no turning attention off task to look around (so it's like the game) and a a set time before imposter can kill again.
They did have a set time, Niko asked Wren that at the end if he followed that rule
I do think they had the kill cooldown, near the end they ask red if he waited 30 seconds between kills... so I think the rule was in play, the editing just didn't make it seem much like there was a kill cooldown. That'd be my guess... (14:50 is where I believe they are mentioning the kill cooldown.)
Also when there are 2 impostors and 2 crew mates, the impostors win

A few things that might help the game: once a crewmember completes a task, they must walk over to a board that everyone can see and check off their completed tasks, this might make tracking progress easier. Also perhaps you put mouthguards in when you're wandering around, so as to avoid any sounds when killed? Can't wait to see more of this Node.
I think they were checking off tasks, it got mentioned in passing a couple times.

Among Us displays that task completion progress bar, so it's another way they can be tracked. And there needs to be a way for the imposters to sabotage. They turn off the lights, or maybe using the three colored siren lights to indicate oxygen depletion?
Best way is to make puzzles on the phone and make sabotages be like phone off etc
Shoulda been random everytime. Process of elimination for imposters is ezpz. Also, no identifying the ejected imposter would be awesome too.
Tip: When making another video put the colors of the people under their picture, so we can identify then more quickly :)

It's kinda useless for a full picture when they are goggled and hoodied up covering their face.
interesting dynamic, the fewer and longer tasks make the crew stick around longer allowing easier kills; however, because the impostors only takes a second to to complete their "task", they wind up bouncing around a lot more. This allows the impostors kill a lot of crew before a body is discovered, but when a body is discovered they are super sus simply because they moved more. Maybe having lots more shorter tasks would entourage less killing sprees and more tactical play.
When my friends played this at my graduation party (we called it 'mob' because of the mob based court) we didn't have any tasks or reason to split up so we would just wonder around for the sake of the game, having tasks makes this so much different.

I work as an iOS developer so if you all want, I can make an app for this. You could use low energy bluetooth to determine proximity for kills. QR codes you could tape around to play the mini games on your phone. You would be able to see a task bar, the imposter could do some sabotage with timers and you'd be able to implement a kill cool down.

Just have an honesty system . Once you done your tasks just put the slip of paper a section of the table when there all there all the tasks are done.

Perhaps you guys could include a timer that can be set by Imposters and give like a cool down for the Imposter to get away or send a message to someone not in the game, mean while that someone not playing can turn on a siren or something loud, that can be heard anywhere, to which two crewmates need to get to the timer for it to be disarmed before time is up? (Like the Reactor)

You know... back in the day, we had a game called murder that was similar to this. You wandered around a dark building and you'd run into people in the hallways. If you were the killer, you'd tap them as you walked by, and the dead person had to count to 5 in their head, then die where they stood. The next person to find the body shouted "MURDER!" And we all ran back to the main room. I was wondering when someone would attempt a real life reenactment of Among Us, and I'm surprised at how close it is to both games.
Yes! The version I knew was vampire and you could play it just in one room. You have everyone shaking hands, and one person scratches other's wrists. Same idea. They count to 5 or 10, depending on who you play with, and then they die. I've played both with one detective (this variant is similar to froggy detective), or where anyone can accuse. But if you accuse wrong, you die! Then, or course, there's also Mafia and Werewolves. It's a very popular game format!
I play a version with my friends where we turn out all the lights in the house, with fake tasks and a phones alarm app as the sabatage. It was hilarious.

You guys definitely need some sort of sabotaging system. A way to turn off light without actually pressing the switch. Maybe get someone who isn’t in the game to man some doors so impostor could tell them to close the doors using phone messages, walkie talkies or something. A kill cooldown timer. Emergency meeting cooldown timer. Oxygen and reactor sabotage.
In the beginning I love how Sam com o let's the kill shot, slowly falling down after stabbed, to a proper death scene. Kudos!

The moment I started playing among us myself about a month ago or more. I have always been imagening how you guys would do this irl.
I remember during college my video game design & dev teacher taught us that we should try to play a 'real life' version of our concept, as it often helped us to nail down certain mechanics in some cases or test concepts before we even touched a line of code.
Nat, it would be nice if the character frames on the middle follow the colors of Among Us and the imposter with a little logo or something.
IDEAS for Sabotages: Setup numerous GREEN glow sticks (or a similar prop) at or near the 'task' nodes that only Impostors can retrieve. If the Impostors bring X amount of glow sticks to a designated pot, then Impostors insta-win. Maybe allow crew members to counteract this by canceling 1 GREEN glow stick for every 2 RED glow sticks they bring to the same collection pot? Also, allow Impostors to turn off the lights, assuming it can be done safely.
Add sabotages and power outages. But the imposter gets some sort of advantage in the dark

Big kudos to whomever did all the grunt work setting up and resetting all the tasks. It looks like it took some work to make the game work.
The only thing that is missing is the people "color" arent being highlighed down in the squares of their faces, other than that, this was brilliant :D
One way that could make killing more difficult is that imposters have a stop watch to prevent multiple kills quickly. To add a sabotage system to the game, you could use phone ringtones/alarms/something that could emit sound through the use of a remote, to allow sabotages. You could also use things like flashlights and remote controlled lightbulbs to allow another sabotage option. I loved this video! It was pretty cool.

So entertaining in real life. Some ideas:
• Imposters have option of shutting off lights. (Maybe the office's electrical box for just the playing area)
• Imposters can "sabotage" certain areas. (Maybe place a few phones around the office, and Imposters can call those numbers to activate sabotage. Crew has until the phone goes to voicemail before crew fails)

I used to play a game when I was younger that is the same idea. It’s called murder in the dark, or something like that. We would play at night so it would be dark, draw cards randomly, and there would be one or two murderers. If you were “killed” you’d lay or sit down silently, and if anyone found the body, you’d call out “murder in the dark” and anyone remaining would come together and debate who the murderer was. Only difference is the lack of tasks. It was kinda like hide and seek for us.

Maybe try and find a way to have imposters able to remotely sabotage and the crew has a timelimit to get to part of the building and press 2 buttons at rhe same time
