@mikawahwah The file name can also be case sensitive. Also can you try adding a "/" slash right before the closing ">" symbol? That will close the element, and your browser may be getting tripped up on that.

Yes, I was struggling with getting the image ( in the same folder as my index.html file) showing up too. When I used a complete link to an actual published image on the web, no problem, but not when in a folder on my pc. Only when I added the "/" right before the closing ">" symbol it finally showed up.

Oldies but goodies. The only coding that seemed easy to learn and apply was HTML even back in 2003 when I had zero programming knowledge.
Side tip, to align the image in the center of the browser page (my preferred method), add: (at the beginning of the line and) (at the very end ). So, it looks something like this:
